WHAT Has Made You Smile Today? (III)

I know some of that is shadow, but if I had walked into the kitchen last night at 3am and saw that looking at me thru the door, there probably would have been an accident :grin: One thing’s for sure - there’s no slim pickings in this neighborhood.

A cop sees a guy drive past him with his car filled with penguins…pulls him over.
Cop: “Buddy you need to take all these penguins to the zoo! NOW!!!
Driver: “OK…sorry…will do sir.”

Next day the cop sees the same guy on the road with all the penguins still in the car…pulls him over.
Cop: “I thought I told you to take these penguins to the zoo yesterday!!!”
Driver: “I did. We had so much fun at the zoo I figured I’d take’m to the beach today!” :penguin: :penguin: :penguin: :beach_umbrella:

Just had an OUTSTANDING interaction on Reddit. You who know me, know I post my reviews on numerous sites. Most have particular rules, limitations, even requirements for posting. I typically fine tune the reviews, upload or host the images, and try to copy/paste where I can, as even doing that, take s a lot of time, let alone hand coding each individual review for each site. I ended up getting caught by a script, and one of my reviews got blocked. A quick chat with a MOD, and fixed on the spot. Had a chance to chat with him a bit, and not only was he generous, and kind, but helpful, and really did care about the vaping community at large, and people who support it.

I’m not on Reddit all of the time, but do try and post all of my reviews there, as they have a LARGE audience. I took my fair share of lumps when I started posting there, and completely borked up my posts until I figured out the syntax there. Now that I think about it, every time I’ve had to hit a MOD up, it’s been a good time. Today’s interaction however, was for a lack of better word, encouraging to say the least.

I’m not name dropping, but I know who the MOD was, and #Respect.

@robrrt1 I don’t know Alesis, but I see a kick drum, is that a Strata Prime ?

It is. Pretty kick azz kit so far, except the HH trigger between open and choke, but hopefully that’s somewhere in the settings

@robrrt1

I’ve done that several times actually, but it could be that I haven’t found that sweet spot

Next up, the fine tuning adjustments at the menu bottom when I get some time

I come past this every day. I looked inside not so long ago and it was empty. Not even a week later another tree sprouted inside. I first thought someone just put it in there to give the impression it came up by itself, but it was solidly rooted in place.

Sad, but good. After more than 14 years, my OG Weber Genesis was finally needing to be replaced. Probably could have extended it’s life another 5 years if I had covered it up more.

Instead of buying online went into a local ACE Hardware, and the guys were great.
