Well it’s not the Grey Flannel Metallic I was looking for but the Silver Coast Metallic is start to grow on me… picked up the ATS, which shares the GM Alpha platform with the Camaro

Yeah car shopping atm is crazy, and everything is overpriced… had to go out of state. So it was a long day today…

Congratulations on your car purchase, Rocky. Did you go to NH for a tax free buy? My sister had a very similar ATS that she absolutely loved and then it got totaled. She found another one but not quite like her original. She was heartbroken about the whole thing. I told her to focus on the fact that she and my nephew emerged unscathed.

I’ve been having difficulty getting a necessary medication for Nikko from the animal hospital pharmacy. It’s imperative and they weren’t pulling through for me. I called his primary vet and it just so happened that another pet owner ordered the same medication but decided not to pick it up. They gave it to me free :smiley_cat:

I fixed my coffee maker! I bought a new power switch and installed it. I’m happy because my old coffee maker makes better coffee than the new one I bought.

Love it when you can repair something instead of replacing.

I might hold on to the new one just in case the heating element goes in the old one. I had a Braun Coffee Maker I loved for many years until the heating element went. I was told by a professional appliance technician that it couldn’t be fixed. I’ll look into it but maybe heating elements aren’t some kind of universal fit.

Just fyi, the old one I just fixed is a cheap brand from Walmart ($15) and it makes coffee as good as my older Braun.

I had a friend who was big into AA and he bought a bunch of Bunn BTX coffee makers for the group. He got into a pretty heated argument with the whole lot of them, and left the group taking his coffee makers with him. I was the lucky recipient who got one of them. I’ve replaced the heating element twice with no issue, but I guess these were meant to be repaired, cuz it was easy to get to and replace. Brews a great pot of coffee.

Forgot to add that that was two element replacements in 11 or 12 years, so not too shabby.

Damn, I might have been able to replace that Braun heating element. I think I found the model. It’s a 1977 KF 30

Oh no, just seeing the image of it is putting me into grief. I remember those days… maybe there’s group therapy for coffee zealots :face_holding_back_tears:

That’s a nice design for 1977.

Finally some common sense (rarity in current German/EU politics). Thank you USA.

We’re not there yet. It’s only legal on the state level. The Federal level is not quite there yet. For the manufacturer it’s still a cash business. No banks can lend.
