All my hand written labels rub off my bottles. I was looking for my orange creamsicle and was sure the bottle I picked up had to be it… So without smelling it I dumped it into my tank. Root beer. Not terrible, just not what I wanted. I gotta rewick after it’s gone. That flavor sticks around like crazy.
I have a roll of scotch tape I put over my handwritten labels. Helps with fading and rubbing off etc.
So I’ve been playing with FA - Fresh Fig the last days, and I have to say, it’s a very interesting flavor. Did a SFT at 3%, and I basically killed the bottle in an hour. This is VERY close to what a fresh picked fig tastes like, but it needed a bit of help. So I searched for a fig recipe, and came across Figasmic 2.Ohh from @DarthVapor. It wasn’t really for me because of the cookies (as I’m very sensitive to AP), but I really enjoyed his combination of Fig with Fuji and Pear accents, as well as his really detailed notes. So I removed all the bells and whistles, changed the % (as it’s 8 years later), and simply added 0.5% FLV - Milk and Honey. The result is quite tasty after a couple of days steeping.
P.S. Thanks for the inspiration, Darth!
I wanna try that, looks good.
I made 60ml of a coffee recipe back in November but I wasn’t feeling the coffee… I was about to dump it out for an empty bottle and decided to stop and taste it. It tastes exactly like those Werther’s caramel coffee candies, and the coffee isn’t overpowering. I tried to see where the recipe was, but I don’t know if it’s the one I mixed because I might have changed the percentages and not saved it.
Alright… This is the first more “complex” recipe I’ve done in a long time. I hope it turns out!!
Maybe this would be a good lemon flavor for me who has issues with lemon?
Are you a pledge taster?
@Rocky02852 hi Rocky, reporting back on the RU4DM&H. I like it! I had M&H lined up for a mix I’m working on and something occurred to my taste buds (or my brain wiring). Suddenly, the M&H hit me like a hard candy coating like on M&M candies. Weird, huh? Idk if it has something to do with other components in your mix but I never experienced it quite like that. I’m going to explore that more, could come in handy (rhymes with candy). Thx for another pleasing ADVer
Affirmative
That’s what I thought when I first tried INW lemon cake years ago. It was a strong smell even after leaving the bottle open for weeks. It worked great in a stick diffuser though.
I’m currently doing a test run on that one. I accidentally used 2.5% instead of 2%, but even 2% is too high. Lynda recommended I try it at around 1%. I’m letting it sit to see how/if it ever changes. If not I’m going to just dilute it with 10ml more of pg-vg. It totally does taste like Murphy’s smells at 2.5%. I gotta say though, it has mellowed just a tiny bit. I’m gonna give it a few more days and taste again. SSA lemon cake is amazing though. Tastes just like a piece of lemon pound cake. I can’t ever say I’ve had it home made, but it definitely has the flavor of the packaged ones.
My biggest fear
It could be a one shot for me at 4% (ssa lemon pound cake) add some sweetener. I really enjoyed testing that flavor!
Lynda_marie I’ve been vaping your frosted all day and I must say it’s quite delicious. I can’t wait to see what a steep will do for it. I still need to leave a review but damn, thank you for sharing that one. I’ve already made a bigger bottle.Tastes just like the vanilla cake icing that comes in the little tubs.
Here I am, how yall been?
Thank you! Yea, I love that vanilla frosting vibe on that recipe!
