Pretty sure fiddy just got that one(heavy cream)? I imagine he will sft it & it could be steeping as we speak?
Im sure it was waynes stream wednesday he mentioned he was waiting on it to be delivered that day? He could have already tested it by now?
From the Kings Crest site. Rice pudding with cinnamon.
Max VG for them is 30% flavor then VG and nicotine. So basically 70/30.
Is that something youâve asked them?
When I order from Kings Crest/Ohm city I get the 30ml concentrate (one-shot) instead of the premixed eliquid. So that I can mix at a lower % (20%) it makes the flavor less potent and easier to vape. I was told by the guys at Kings Crest that all their eliquids are mixed at 30% for their premixed stuff. It comes out to equal 70/30.
I know youâve mentioned this before but how do you go about doing that? Thereâs nothing on the Ohm City site about it. Is it a custom order via phone? And whatâs the price for a 30ml one shot?
Yes when I called kings Crest to inquire about the concentrates they told me that ohm city is right next door to them. They can go next door and get the concentrates. So I call ohm city and let them know that I want to order the concentrates. Then they can either create an invoice or just exchange the premix for the concentrate. They charge me the same price as the premixed.
Dang, I just bought some last night and I donât have time to call right now. May be too late anyway. Next timeâŚthx, Duckie
I called them and emailed them anyway right after I posted, hoping to catch the order before it gets packed. Weâll see. Had to leave a message.
To me itâs a plain milky cream no vanilla notes just a dense cream. Iâd compare to a heavier version of OOO Cream (Milky Undertones). Currently steeping a Irish Cream attempt with it.
If anyone want to try this Irish cream attempt.
I get an error when I click it.
Iâve had a bad experience with coffee vape unfortunately. Itâs also really strong so I have to really really like it or else Iâm changing the cotton to change flavor. Donât get me wrong tho, it sounds delicious.
Ya I tried it early and to much chocolate so I deleted it. The idea is sound though I think the chocolate milk added to much cocoa. Iâll retry someday using only WF mocha and cream and drop the ooo chocolate milk because I donât have enough for another batch.
I forgot I mixed this again, and dang, after a forgetful steep, itâs so rich and yummy!
That is the highest pct Iâve heard for a recipe, mostly because of the fear of muting, I suppose. Apparently thatâs not a problem for them. Why such a pct difference between the diy community and commercial business? Are they using different types of flavorings?
Generally some companies think that higher percentages mean that the product will be more shelf stable. We in DIY tend to do a lot of Shake and Vapes or we may steep recipes for a week or even up to a month or two. Though for commercial brands they may make a bottle of e-liquid in their facility on Jan 1 and it may sit in their warehouse for a few weeks. Then distributor may purchase said product and it may sit on their warehouse shelf for another 6 months before someone orders it. Or it goes to a vape shop where it may sit on another shelf for months. Commercial companies donât know when their products will actually get used so they have to think about long term usage and will the product be good 6 months or a year or two after itâs made. That why some companies mix their products at a higher percentage. Plus they are trying to cover a wide range of vaping styles. If you use a few different types of vapes from RDA/RTA to sub-ohm and pods some liquids will taste differently in each device so they try to cover their bases on all fronts.
Think old school Strawberries and cream if you mix a recipe at say 13% using a couple strawberries some cream and say some custard for body. Itâll taste good (lots of strawberry flavor) a month later after the creams and custard have bloomed but after 6months to a year later most likely youâve got a really good custard with a slight hint of strawberry. Because the fruits will fades d be covered up by the creams/custards. Now if you mix the same recipe at 30% with the same ingredients but take the fruits and sweetener really high say 10-20% and the other 10% creams and custard then you end up with a liquid that may still taste good a year or so down the line. Sorry for the long winded response.
I never thought of it from that perspective. Thx
No prob I know 30% seems extreme but Kings Crest tend to use FW flavors, and those can be used high to get better results. I still donât agree with being that high because I think their stuff tastes better at lower %.
Itâs funny because I feel like they think if a recipe is great @20% it will be awesome @30%. Though all that does is blows out or over flavors it.
Alright⌠Im about to do one of those dump mixes. I got 8 bottles here with between 5 and 10ml each. Letâs goooooo!
Ice cream+ tester
FLV Vanilla custard tester
Fa Vanilla gelato 5% tester
Cream fresh tester
Cap crunch tester (tasted like nothing to me)
Custard extra 1 + fw vanilla gelato tester (also tasted like nothing to me, ffs.)
Cust cookie v2 tester
SB cookie tester
Alllllrighty⌠Looks like it gave me about 50mls of juice. We will see what happens!
And of course I need to shake it up and try it right away. Tastes like custard-y flavors. It should considering itâs all creams and custard types. I think itâs gonna be good with that fa gelato getting watered down.
Also want to do a quick update on that âcreme beer-leâ I tried to mask with a bunch of creams and stuff⌠Itâs still tastes like metallic beer. Itâs got a nice aftertaste but itâs ruined by the âbeer-le.â I truly wish I could have tasted that flavor before they did something to it.
What do you mean blows out?
When I say blowing out a recipe means that the recipe has lost its taste or mutes itself. It happens sometimes when you take a recipe too far.
