What RU Vaping/Mixing Today? 2025

I like the pastry crust it is less distracting from the KL filling than a graham crust. Once I get some OOO Pie Crust I’m going to switch from using TPA. OOO PC has some shortbread notes to it so it pairs better with Shortbread cookie. That recipe also works really well with Sterling Key Lime @3% in place of both TPA KLP & Key Lime. I’m waiting for my 4oz of Sterling Cloud to arrive.

If I could figure out how to order on Nomz (no shipping option for Texas) I’d definitely get some INW Mississippi for my PiƱa Colada mix. Or even some Pineapple Dole Whip.

I also made a v2 of Key West where I just used Cap Shortbread for a lighter shortbread crust. I’m really loving the lighter shortbread crust. While comparing the two I noticed a slight burnt crust note from I think the TPA Pie Crust. With the little bit of crust I get from TPA KLP the Cap Shortbread adds just enough crust to be noticeable.

Here are some mixes I’m working on. All are still WIP but the first two don’t seem too far off.

My April Mix A Long attempt with a couple of small adjustments. The caramel note felt too strong so I lowered it 0.5% and also decided to bump the Custard Premium 0.5% just to see how that goes.
I probably won’t be comfortable calling it finished by the end of the month though.

Custard, cake batter, strawberry, and vanilla. Inspired by reading about an old commercial juice that I have never tried but sounded good. Version 1 had more cake batter than custard so decided to switch those up for v2. I think this one is pretty close but still trying a few minor tweaks .

This one is an alternate version of an idea and not an actual progression to v5.
The original was supposed to be a sort of creamy black jelly bean with vanilla and cooling. This attempt ditches the creamy part for a more standard jelly bean/candy but still with a slight vanilla note (maybe) and cooling.
The Sweet Currant addition comes from a spin off recipe - just trying a little of it here hoping for just a touch of a dark berry or perhaps grape note and maybe add a little syrupy vibe as well.

This one is my first attempt with this flavor combination - hoping for a slightly nutty banana bread with some gooey caramel and toasty marshmallow notes.

The US is no longer a shipping option but there’s a way to order that I posted here in the forum. If you want to order and need help, just send me a message. I worked with Richard on working around the issue.

@Lynda_Marie I searched for that, but couldn’t find it. You have it bookmarked ?

I like the ode to Custard Monster Butterscotch with the use of both Cap VC’s. Though do you think @1.8% that’s enough Butterscotch? I’m sure it’s rich and delicious but have you tried adding a Butter flavoring to a butterscotch or toffee custard. :exploding_head: it creates a richness that’s unbelievable.

Well it’s just been an ON-going process at this point. Once I get done testing flavors, I’ll have more dedicated time.

@McDuckie the BS is not overpowering for sure, but the original idea was to have a BS custard, with pudding elements, and a smoked BS drizzle on top. The vanilla swirl was to include a soft serve note. I know the Monster mix you’re talking about, and coming in at only (lucky) 13% I was trying to steer clear of the sky high percentages. The simple approach would have been to slam up the BS’s more, but then it began to not overpower, but almost overshadow some of the custard notes I wanted to peek through. Hard to explain, but I had tasted something like this, but only once, and quite a while ago, so hehe, it keeps evolving.

 Well explained sir I just know how much the cap VC can grow and take over. I understand your idea better now. It’s better to be able to add more BS if it needs it than to be stuck with a good butterscotch flavor and no custard notes. :+1:

Sorry I didn’t see this sooner- I just saw you found it. I was going to tag but I got busy. Thanks so much!

Hehe, not sure if I’m explaining it 100% or not. It’s killing me that I can’t remember the juice or brand that I had tried. Think someone sent me a sample or something, but THAT, is what I’m trying to remember/recreate. I DO have to pick up that VTA Butter Base now …

Yeah, I FINALLY found it @Lynda_Marie. Not sure why searching for it failed soo much. Thank you for taking the time in posting it up.

Anyone have a good skittles mix? I prefer the original ones, but a sour skittles mix would also be welcome. I searched ELR and ATF, and the results have been less than promising. I have FW, CAP, and TPA rainbow candy/drops flavors.

@fidalgo_vapes i searched the forum and saw you asked the same some 8 years ago. Did you ever find a good skittles mix?

I think the best skittles i ever had was philipe rocke Vape the Rainbow , but i never really went too far into trying . The FW and TPA were too blah and at that time i wasnt imaginative enough to add what the flavors lacked. I have been looking for a new project though.

@IggyZ hows the cap flavor compared to fw and cap

I had an idea for a skiddles mix back when WF released the jelly bean series. I never attempted it. Maybe cotton candy jelly bean (for the chewy center and candy shell) with one or more of the rainbow candies (skittles) flavors. A lot of reviews for tpa and fw state that they have the flavors but lack the candy shell.

I’ve been playing with all 3 since weeks now. Here’s what I can tell you:

  1. TPA is the most fleshed out of the 3. I taste the gooey stuff in the middle and the hard shell. I don’t have any idea how they did that, but they did it well! It’s as if I took a handful of regular skittles and ate it all at once.

  2. FW is kind of like the TPA, but more meh. It’s less bright, but hits all the notes fairly evenly. Works good with the others to fill in what this is lacking.

  3. Cap is, IMO, the strongest of the bunch. While I need to use TPA and FW at 4%, the cap is plenty full at 3. It’s definitely the strongest in the citrus department, but they totally hit the mark. Also tastes like a handful of skittles, but has more focus on the lemon&lime ones.

I basically got an almost perfect handful of skittles by mixing 4,4,3% of TPA, FW, and Cap, respectively. Only thing is that it’s a bit scratchy on the throat, even after a week. I’m guessing v2 will be better if I add a bit of cotton candy, or marshmallow to smooth it out a bit.

That’s why I was kind of hoping for a recipe that someone had, so I could see what they did. I tried 3 ā€œtaste the rainbowā€ clones, and couldn’t enjoy them. TPA rainbow drops at 15% is just wild. 5% is more than enough for me.

I tried that when I got all the skittles flavors. I mixed my normal skittles base, and added 1% CCJB, and 1.5% BCJB. I got skittles with some cherry in there. Was absolutely awesome as the harshness from the skittles flavors was completely gone. But the idea wasn’t mine, per se. Alfred Pudding paired Cap Rainbow Candy with INW Cherries and it really worked. I just lowered the %, and used Blackcherry Jelly bean instead of Cherries. I wanted a cherry skittles, and not what AP was trying for. Although his mix is amazing, it’s not really skittles. It’s just a really good cherry.
