Breaking the mold with this post. Vaping a NET made with a tobacco called Le Petit Robin. With @Kinnikinnick guidance I learned that the secret to a good NET is finding the best quality and right type tobacco. For those who are interested, the link to Tobacco Reviews:

I can tell you that it’s Burley based with Kentucky and Virginia but the creator of this tobacco blend has his lips sealed about the contents of the blonde portion in the blend. All I can say is, I never thought I would call a tobacco delicious until I tried this.

I don’t think sour apple from FLV is the right flavor, IMO. I feel it’s more like a green apple hard candy flavor, but maybe you can get the right results with the FLV.

Weren’t the green ones lime way back when? I think by me they still are lime for green. I remember sour apple being the green one in sour skittles, but I’m pretty sure in the regular pack green is lime, yellow is lemon, red is strawberry, orange is orange, and purple is grape.

And as for Cotton Candy Jelly Bean, it does smooth it a bit (at 1%), but not completely. Maybe you’ll be able to get the results you want by using a bit more, or a bit less of the rainbow flavorings. I’m pretty sure it’s just a matter of balance and finding the right additive. CCJB definitely helps, but it doesn’t completely fix the problems. Maybe a drop of TFA Smooth or FA Vape Wizard can also help.

From the skittles website:
The original Skittles flavors in the United States (and other countries except for Europe) are orange, lemon, lime, grape and strawberry . In 2013, Skittles changed its original flavor line-up to include green apple, causing a consumer backlash.

Always nice when you feel like you’re breaking some rules and a mix comes out really tastey like that!

Rules? I thought it was a free for all NO Rules! LOL My only rule is if I can imagine it I can build it even if it only exists in my twisted mind.

i love their sexy mango, there is a severe lack of reviews on wrecka and the price is very off putting

I have around 20 or so, the only 2 I don’t like is the sparkling apple and lemon bubble tea, everything else is either amazing or unique. Personal favs are lemon whipped cream, soursop, sexy mango, cream custard, virgin whipped cream, dark tobacco, fizzy strawberry, now royal black currant. Probably others I’m forgetting. Wish more people used them, one of my top flavor companies. But I’ve always loved Malaysian style juice though, everyones different.

They’re more like “rules” in a sense that it’s like a procedure most people follow. Not really rules…

Idk wtf I’m trying to say lmao.

The Le Petite Robin was a sample from Kinnikinnick to give me an idea of what my extracts would taste like. I’ve had a few steeping for a couple of months and am getting ready for the next stage in the process which is filtering the leaves from the liquid (PG). The hardest part is the waiting but if you always have several jars soaking you’ll always have something ready to vape. You need 150-175 MLS of PG to about an ounce of cut tobacco leaves for soaking. The other hard part is finding good tobacco to buy. A recipe mix will look something like this. He already input data on the recipe side to use for any NET mix.

As you can see, 15% is not a very concentrated extract compared to the flavors we buy but that is pretty good for a homemade NET without the use of professional lab equipment.

I’ve been looking into something similar to that method that @Kinnikinnick describes. I read on a forum where a guy steeped a good quality pipe tobacco with an Irish whiskey spice blend in PG to achieve a really nice whiskey pipe flavor. Similar to Stixx Mixx Whiskey Cavendish, but with a stronger flavor.

I can say that his mix of the above recipe is quite potent. Just right in potency and flavor. So I’m sure you can achieve that. I do remember him saying that the whiskey doesn’t come through in the end product as much as you’d like. Can always add flavor concentrates to the NET too.

:+1: I’ve been playing with a few different flavors for my Irish Cream Pipe attempt. I was hopeful about FE Black Mile + with FA Irish Cream, but Black mile leans more towards a cigar and tastes too artificial. My current attempt is with Irish cream and Whiskey Cavendish though I’m afraid the SM is gonna get smothered by the Irish cream if I take the IC too high. I need to test the Stixx Mixx to see how high it’ll go.

I’ve read a little bit about NET methods. So, do you cold soak in the fridge? I’ve heard that takes months but doesn’t release bitter compounds. I’ve been thinking about doing NETs myself. I like that idea that it’s like it’s “set it and forget it.”

I’d like to know your results. I do hear favorable opinions about StixxMixx Whiskey Cavendish but I’ve never tried it myself.

Just remembering something that Kinnickinnick said about StixxMixx, tells me that you can probably take it pretty high without trepidation.

I haven’t heard anything about refrigeration. Most keep it in a dark cellar or closet. After adding the PG you will be warming it at 125-150F in a crock pot full of dry rice for at least 8 hrs. After that, make sure the lid is on tight and set them aside for safe keeping.

If you are really interested in pursuing diy NET extraction I highly recommend reading the NET threads. It’s not necessarily a strict science and there’s room for creativity much like how we prefer to make our eliquids. Everyone has their own style but there are a few key points to remember.

Alright, cool! I’ll definitely check it out.
