Ey, thx my friend. You’ve given me a reason to use my French Toast (FE).
Been looking dor a good French Toast recipe. Will be goving it a try on my mext flav purchase hehe. Thanks @McDuckie and keep em coming!!
Even though Urus only joined here in 2024, he already has like 7 years experience
he’s probably got way more flavors than me too
@McDuckie FE (SC)'s French Toast is actually pretty good. Not up to the level of Real Flavors, BUT, it works. I remember EXIGEXPRESS’s from a while back.
Nah, not experience. Just a budding mixologist. Haven’t even really made my own mixes yet. My plan is to get to know the flavors better before I start doing that. In the meantime, I’m enjoying the mixes that more experienced mixers share with us. Enjoying it a lot too, plus my bank account and my health love me, no more stinkies!!!
getting to know your flavors IS experience, making recipes will be much easier
Im just glad my little ursus is growing up so quickly
proud of you!
Thanks buddy, I appreciate that
Ok something I’d never think about mixing, but damn it, this is good. I must say TMA has really gotten me out of my norm to create different fruity type recipes. This week is Kumquat… which is from WF and I don’t have it… so the “rules” are relaxed a bit… something citrusy. If you want to join in and don’t have kumquat, just mix something from the second column with one of the 3 middle columns and a miscellaneous. I’ve enjoyed seeing what people come up with and even better seeing a newer mixer @busterbell come up with recipes he enjoys.
I’ve had the RF (SC)French Toast and it just seemed very bland to me. Mostly just got a lot of plain sweet bread.
Really ?? Wow. It has a unique profile, but it was a top shelf-er from back when the RFSC was all the rage.
I have heard a few people say that since Diyejuice picked up RF that some of the flavors don’t measure up to the OG.
Well I know Walt sold off the RFSC line to them. I’ll have to see if I have any new, and compare it to the OG.
I agree with you about RFSC French Toast it wasnt one that i felt like others did. The RF Black Label French Toast though was pretty good
Man, I wish I had some more of that one. The only surviving Black Label I have left, is the French Vanilla.
Well, well, well @McDuckie you were RIGHT. Not even close. Well shit, not going to order any more of the “new” French Toast. The OG smells much stronger, better, AND, … like French Toast. The new one however does smell like a bland Mashup with some syrup. Wow, even aged, the OG smells much better, and quite different from the “new” one. Almost shocking when you directly compare them.
For @fidalgo_vapes, I’m down to my LAST BOTTLE of the OG.
Nice…The SB Milkshake is good from Diyejuice.com…I still have a 60 and 15ml apprx of the old from Walt. I did get some new also to try because of that big mess up when Walt first closed and we were getting bad stock from everyone
This is my favorite.
The more I mix, the more I realize that much lower flavor percentages work better. Ive read other people say that a lot of high percentage recipes are for older devices, it explains why they taste like crap when I try to make them. I’ve started dropping much lower and finding my mixes way more enjoyable. With creams and bakery recipes at least, fruits are good but I haven’t been able to master those yet.
I just made an orange cream bar a couple days ago, it’s got 3% total flavor and it’s already tasting really nice.
I saw people talking about cereal flavors, one of my absolute favorites is TPA crunchy berry. I think it really doesn’t get enough attention. I’ve tested different percentages with other flavors, 2.5%-3.5% seems to turn out best. I think it’s best used with minimal flavor additions though. 2% Bavarian cream adds a nice touch to it. Its another one of those flavors I can actually taste, and its just like I remember crunch berries.
I used to pair it with FLV sweet crunch, but I have a mix of that as the dominant flavor for frosted flakes and I didn’t want them sharing flavor fatigue. I don’t see a lot of feedback for those two, but for someone like me who can’t seem to really taste flavors too well, they are amazing.
*** I just realized the delicious crunch berry flavor I mentioned has a note on the flavor resources page that it contains an ingredient that may cause cancer. Maybe I need to find an alternative.
I don’t have Glazed Doughnut (CAP) but I have OOO and WF. Did you try this recipe? Is it worth a go with some subs maybe? The idea looks good.
Off topic but before I forget…where has @STR8V8PING been? I haven’t seen any participation from him anywhere. Is he okay? From posting recipes almost daily to dropping off the map.
