Uncalled for passive-agressive response bro. Nobody’s teasing you. I’m glad you found your way off the smokes. I’m sure everyone here feels the same. We are just giving advice we think would help you. When finally I stopped cigarettes I vaped 23mg/mL juice for awhile. I vape 6mL now and I think I found my happy level for nic.
You never want to start too low if your trying to transition off cigarettes. My first attempt failed when I started with 6mg. It was a bit over a year before I tried again, that time I got 18mg and I could tell vaping was my future. I moved up to 23 after a little while, then back to 18, then down, back up, down, down, up, down,…
If you are satisfied with where you are at, just nod and vape on.
I am totally guilty of this but I don’t care. I’m addicted to flavors and the sensation of inhale/exhale now and chain vape (except when my hands are busy doing something else). I used to get dizzy from vaping until I lowered my nic for the last time. It’s just my style of vaping and it works for me. As for handchecks, vaping also became a hobby (another way to keep my hands busy) and I enjoyed collecting and trying different setups. But I also agree with you that the handmade and beautifully handcrafted tube/box mods are worth looking at. If I had the talent or the money my handchecks would be a lot more interesting but here I am, the average vaper just trying to have some fun and be social because no one in my close circle of friends vapes. So, if I post a handcheck please be gentle with me
Perhaps, though statements like “reducing nicotine intake is king” is a hive-minded response that’s blatantly false and the result of a viewpoint formed only by hearing what people of the same opinion have to say.
Homogenized liquids are great, homogenized thinking is not.
Reducing nicotine - far from being ‘king’ - isn’t even on the radar of plenty of vapers, who are perfectly happy at whatever mg/mL they’re currently consuming and have no inclination to reduce their dose, so pushing “me and my mates all do this so like, everyone else must too or they stoopid” warrants pushback.
And sure whatever, I’ve learnt to flick past hand checks now - unless the hardware actually looks good enough to catch my eye
I also like vape mail pics: it’s only those ridiculous photos of whatever combo happens to be in everyone’s hand at the time I dislike
For now @Guido_Possum but I think that will change shortly with the replacement of TPD in the UK. Slowly at first, but I have been a lone voice in sounding the warnings re the Tories. They are a party of the money classes and BIG Business so by creeping, small steps, they WILL introduce some of what Big Tobacco and Big Pharma want…control of vaping. These companies know the writing is on the wall re tobacco in the long term; what is happening now is only the initial stages of grabbing control of the market. Once they have eliminated the competition of the grass roots established industry, they will have carte blanche to take vaping in any direction they chose…which will almost certainly mean the standardisation of equipment and vape juice to suit a mass production model. Those of a certain age in the UK have the brewing industry as a classic example of this strategy where they bought out most of the small breweries in the 70’s and 80’s, resulting in a massive shrinking of the choices of available beers in pubs etc. It is only now in the last 10 years or so that craft and niche beers are making a comeback…but in the hands of Big brewing. Classic strategy of the corrupt corporation working hand-in-hand with the ever corrupt Political class. Soz for the rant, but it is so plainly in our faces and to a large extent, most do not see it…
I was a chain smoker. Of course, now I am a chain vaper. I have settled in a bit where I actually can and do put the vape down for an hour and sometimes more without bothering me. But when I vape it’s a chain session for sure. For the longest time though I couldn’t go an hour or more without massive anxiety. It was much worse with cigarettes, I think it might have to do with other additives bigT put in them.
I smoked for a very long time but had moved to roll my own from whole leaf tobacco that I chopped and processed myself. I could not smoke commercial cigs after that because they would literally make me ill. I have no doubt that it was the additives.
To each their own. I started vaping at 24 mg and am now down to 1.5 after 4.5 years. I have tried zero nic and suppose I could do that but I simply don’t want to. I do chain vape but go for maybe a hour occasionally. Whatever works is good and I don’t need anyone’s approval. Smoke free since 9/1/2016.
Nothing wrong with chain vaping - certainly it’s almost inevitable at lower nic levels: I do the same thing with 3-6mg freebase if that’s that I’m using.
I was just defending high mg salts and pointing-out their benefits, since there’s plenty of people who seem shocked or outraged or adopt the judge-judy routine towards those who’d rather the higher dose from salts.
There’s a little clique of vapers in every social bubble on the net who seem vehemently opposed to high mg salts and pronounce their lowering to a 1.5mg/mL dose like a badge of honour - which I guess it is if your personal goal is to reduce your mg as low as possible - but not everyone cares about racing to the lowest nic % possible.
I don’t judge anyone’s use of nic. The beauty of vaping is that we can control it ourselves. Sometimes I feel like a nic boost and I’ll add a bit more. Nicotine isn’t the devil so much as all the toxins they put in our cigarettes. Have you seen “You don’t know nicotine”? I’d like to see it soon.
Wow! I had no idea this is exactly what’s going on! It makes sense now. They won’t stop until its finished either. They’re going to take control of the whole industry. All these rather small businesses are going to suffer as well. It’s so sad to see.
