As I received a reply on a specific recipe, I updated it:
Sadly, I just received a message sent to me in February this evening. @daath - Lars can we fix this mess? I am happy to pay more to have it fixed once and for all.
Anyway, I updated it as one of my simple blends with the Virginian (or Snipe and Wib) air to it [though without notes of Mothman]:
Note: Edited the error - it should be 0.35% Cream (FLV) and not 35%. Luckily the link will proudly continue to show my folly and be an eternal reminder of my need to embrace humility.
So I actually have a mix I really like and is one of my daily vapes, it’s a Cactus Fuji Apple and has very good flavor however, there is a slight sharpness/harshness mid vape. Would using a cream, marshmallow, meringue, or similar flavor smooth this out?
@Mikser It has been attempted… I can honestly say it is good but definitely very different. That TPA Kentucky Bourbon/Bourbon is a powerhouse combo.
Acetyl Pyrazine 6% (VTA) 0.75 (way stronger flavor than TPA)
Vanilla Classic (VTA) 1.00 (vanillin)
Vanilla Cream (VTA) 2.00 (a full vanilla flavor not as dark as TPA Vanilla Bourbon)
Bourbon (VTA) 5.00 (Kentucky Bourbon/Bourbon still better)
Coconut (VTA) 2.00 (Not as forward as coconut extra but it works)
Scorched Caramel (VTA) 1.00 (the brown sugar/toasted aspect)
Almond (VTA) 1.25 (along with S Caramel gains a toasted flavor)
I’d love to try to remix Castle long with MF.
And here is a good example contradicting the argument for special MTL mixing. The common idea that seems to prevail here is that an MTL mix should have less flavors and more pcts. Here, Smoky has a total of 0.48% of flavor and 7 flavors total not counting the sweetener. She mentions in her comments that she enjoys it in a MTL tank or pod.
I have to agree and I think that may be why some vapers complain that they aren’t getting flavorful vapes. They’re following some preconceived notions that don’t work for them.
I repeatedly raise the issue of new vapers using old blends, when those blends were made for outdated set-ups. So, they have massively over-flavoured recipes.
Maybe if someone’s gustatory cells are dead it can help. Idk. I read that our taste perception is written in our DNA so I don’t think written rules for flavor are appropriate for everyone.
