Hehe, don’t worry about that @muth. Plug it in, you’ll be good. I’ve never UNplugged mine, and even leave the backlighting always on too.
Yes, luckily I remembered how many grams I had when it cut out. I shut it off and started over with the remaining balance, tared then moved on to the next flavor.
WHEW !!! Good SAVE !!!
That’s bad information.
No. Check that.
That’s horrible information.
Oh oh, now we have a “situation”
I was also told that if I plug it into a high quality professional surge arrest with nothing else plugged in I should be good. I do have that from my ex-recording studio equipment.
Wait, maybe I misunderstood. Are you saying don’t plug it in or plug it in?
RFI (in this context) means Radio Frequency Interferance. As in Kilo-cycles and Mega-cycles (KHz/Mhz) typically.
It absolutely should not interfere with itself (meaning the transformer that is used with the scale).
Now, if you had some alternative concern… For instance, the transformer in the wall-wort generating RFI and interfering with your AM/FM/Shortwave radio… Then yes, it’s possible, though still unlikely with most modern transformers.
Use it.
There’s nothing to worry about with respect to mixing.
Thanks, now I’m clear on that. I need to eat something and was getting confused and read your answer wrong. Appreciate the info
@muth ok, there’s a LOT going on in this question at this point hehe. I think @Sprkslfly was saying plugging in the AC transformer is fine. No problem there.
You started to lose me with the …
and …
If you are/were RECORDING you might be worrying about induced noise from one appliance to another, but, we’re just talking about plugging the scale, into an outlet right ??
It comes with a plug from the MFG for a reason, hehe.
I’m vaping Ckemist’s scotch pecan RY4. I substituted us red for Hangsen Turkish blend. Pretty tasty.
Right. No more recording going on.
Looks good. Looks more like a raspberry cream than a custard. You talked me into this one. For once I will have no subs.
I prepared some coffee for next week:
Wanting to do a remix of CaptainCannibals Shurb clone, but I dont have FW Beetle Juice. Have found conflicting reports on what it tastes/smells like so am trying to work out a wee combo to replace it. 6% FW Beetle Juice is used in the clone recipe. From what I gather it’s mostly meany to be Lime, Orange, Strawberry and maybe Pineapple. Now I’ve got options to replace the Beetle Juice with a concoction of Lime, Orange, Strawberry & Sweetener but am just posting here to see if anyone has tried this clone or FW Beetle Juice and knows a quick one shot I could mix to replace it.
It may be better to throw up a thread in the clones section - it could get a few more eyes on it
Beetle juice tastes like juicy fruit gum to me, I remixed sherb because I wanted all the sherbet note from it without all the other stuff, and taking beetle juice out achieved 75% of that goal.
Edit: here’s what I ended up with
Maybe you want to took a look on this recipe:
I have seen several pages outside of ELR referring to this. It could be worth a try.
Plug it in …I always have mine plugged in . I have a magnetic stirrer plugged in to the same power strip and have a laptop close by …Eveytime I calibrate Its good and every time indrop a nickel on it its 5grams … your readings will be fine
