Do you stay with the same profiles usually? I feel like if I don’t change it up every now and then, my normal recipes feel a little flat…

@Mew I know you know how many SFT’s I do. If I had a dollar for every flavor that’s been in my mouth !!! 
Was having some issues years ago, similar to you, and my dentist had recommended a Arm and Hammer Baking Soda tootpaste (for other reasons), started using it, and it seemed like a side effect of using this, was my flavors really started to return/pop. I didn’t notice at first, as it happened slowly. Ran out one day, and switched to Crest or whatever, and WOW, I noticed a flavor perception reduction RIGHT AWAY.

This is a bummer! I’ve only had little moments where I’d lose flavor. It seems like it happens when I’m dehydrated or had some(maybe too many) drinks the night before, which is usually coupled with dehydration and lack of proper sleep. It usually clears up by the next night, though.
Don’t know if that can really help, just throwing it out there in case anything similar has been happening…hot Summer days, water intake, sleep, etc.
@SessionDrummer, I’m going to grab some of that A&H and see if I can tell any difference from my norm! Nice tip!

My wife hates it, says she can’t stand the taste of the baking soda, but I don’t care. MUCH better for gum health which is why my guy recommended it. Took all of a day or two to get used to it, but nothing major. Using it for YEARS, ran out, went to crest (I think), and was doing SFT THAT NIGHT, and I could tell something was OFF !!!
Continued using the crest, but ordered more of the A&H. When it arrived, switched BACK, and all of a sudden, flavors were MO BETTER.
I can’t explain it, just reporting it.

We couldn’t afford toothpaste when I was a kid so we used straight baking soda. It did cut back on the whole “don’t swallow the toothpaste” issue.

Have you resupplied your PG or VG recently?
If so, that’s the first places I would suspect (and check).
Have you tried switching to a profile outside of your normal ones?
If you can do so without risk of returning to traditional tobacco use, then I’d say there’s no harm in taking a break for a bit.
But I personally wouldn’t give up on vaping if there was a chance of returning to the previous dependancy.
I wish you luck in overcoming the obstacle!

No, I change it up quite frequently. I think it’s why I thought my flavors went bad. But with buying new it didnt seem to make a difference. But I do chain vape and wondering if it’s too much. ATM I have 2 different mods and 5 different mixes in front of me.

The Arm & Hammers a great suggestion. I will pick some up but for now I will use some baking soda and use it like PKF did. And yeah @anon70102222 … my Mom had us use it when I was a kid too. lol
I get plenty of sleep. Proper sleep? IDK. I’m a night owl but I tend to get my 8 hrs in daily. I rarely drink alcohol and carry a 32 oz. bottle of water around with me so not sure I’m dehydrated. But I could be. I read awhile back too that swishing some lemon juice helps. I may try that and adding some LJ to my water as well.
Hmmm I bought huge bottles of PG and VG off Amazon a few years ago. I wonder what the shelf life is?? I guess I figured those would never go bad. I keep them in a dark cool place. My nicotine, I’ve always kept that in the freezer and it is still a nice golden color. My flavors in the fridge.
No worries about returning to the ciggies. I only picked up a cherry cigarillo once after I started vaping and I didn’t enjoy it at all. Not going back there.

You are not alone, I have tried loads of different strawberries and combinations and never really got a true strawberry. The only ones I do really like are:
FA Strawberry - First I tried, needs a hell of a shake. Like you though, I do also get green notes from it which is why it doesnt really work for me brilliantly
JF Strawberry Sweet - Get a reasonable strawberry syrup but more the syrup than strawberry
RF Strawberry Milkshake - RF strawberry wasnt awful from memory but the strawberry milkshake was probably the best strawberry I have had. Sadly I have ordered it again recently and fidalgo vapes mentioned that they may have changed it…the bottle I got was now just ok rather than great so they obviously have changed it
I have tried fa juicy strawberry, Inw shisha strawberry, tpa strawberry ripe, cap sweet strawberry, osdiy succulent strawberry…and several more and none really worked

I think its just after a period of time you get so used to vaping that the taste isnt as exciting. Like a junkie searching for there next high.
I rarely get really excited about anything I vape now, I do find trying new flavours helps a lot…but of course that comes at a cost

2hrs steep test on this is awesome! It obviously needs to steep, but it’s great to see my efforts coming out so tasty right after mixing! A few new-to-me FLV flavors have steeped up too far on me, but most times I can take my new mixes out for a vape same day/next day, then test for a steep…
Making this for a guy I work with, whose grandfather DIYs his. Who can this be? All I know is the name of the liquid, so I doubt I’ll come near to what he has now.
Anyone know a mixer who makes a Keylime Cookie for his grandson in Florida? Haha! I’ll have to remind him that I want to know if his G-pa is on here.

6 days and it is awesome-er! The Limes are getting brighter, sweeter and more prominent, no fading. The Cookie aspect is really nice, not overblown or dominating. I’ll have to whip up a longer steep test as this one is about gone. The Custard adds a subtle creaminess and hint of Vanilla. Hooray!
