What Ya Vaping/Mixing Today? (Part V) 2021 - 2022

@ladycrooks we need more info on that. It DEPENDS. Typically MTL mixes have much higher levels of NIC, and flavors both, so if you were to DTL them, they might blow your face off.

I don’t know if you are including NIC in your MTL mix or not, but you can sort that out to reasonable DTL levels. As far as the flavors go, it’s very typical to LOWER MTL flavor levels to be more compatible in DTL equipment.

Hey @ladycrooks, Yes, of course you can, it’s usually just the higher nic in a MTL recipe that makes it harsh to DL, but I only use 1mg in mine anyway.

Because of the difference in the style of vaping, some MTL recipes can feel a little over-flavoured in a DL device. This is always an individual thing as everyone’s taste buds are different. If you feel the taste is too strong/saturated then just change the total percentage to suit.

MTL SUCKS! DTL FOR THE WIN!!

And YES. This is a complete sentence… smh

By it’s very definition and methodology, DTL sucks more!

And that is actually a complete sentence…

Got some free time tonight so ive got a couple i want to mix, by couple i mean three.

First one is a cheesecake cake with a little yum thrown in:

Came up with it while high with terrible munchies.

Second one is an old one that i am remixing, it is one of the only peach vapes i really liked and i named after a line in one of my old favorite movies:

Originally it was a custard vape that i mixed with the intention of irritating my wife. She loves peach vapes but not custards, except for Strawnana. Well she wasnt irritated at all, annoying. The movie was True Romance.

Last one i am mixing tonight was inspired by my love of Dewberry Cream by fiddy, fucking delicious mix:

Fiddy’s Dewberry Cream took me waaay back to my early days of vaping. A local shop used to make a Honeyberry vape
that was similar. Anyway fiddy’s mix reminded how much i loved honeydew vapes.

And thats it for tonight. Happy mixing!

just put a mix together of 6 week steeped CAP VCV1 and 2.5 week old Inw Custard. Ends up being 5% VCV1 and 1.5% Inw. Quite a nice combo that could possibly go a little higher with both for my taste. Very smooth with a nice eggy custard profile.

So… you took the custard out?
Or does the Cream, vanilla and white chocolate present as custard?

That is the question i will discover the answer to in a few weeks, hehe. The custard was heavy so i wanted something just a bit lighter, brighter and sweeter.

just mixed up 3x 120mL bottles of this:

Been vaping it 4 years now as an ADV and am never without it…matter of fact, this was my gauge as to whether or not Covid had impacted my taste buds (it never did)…reaching a point where I’d like to find ways to tweak it or improve on it…any suggestions from anyone?

Welcome back after your 2 year hiatus @FMAM. Whew, a 7 year old recipe. Well, the obvious would be to reduce the amount of overall flavoring to match with today’s equipment. At second glance, reducing, and pairing the TPA Strawberry Ripe with one or more Strawberries should help improve the overall SB layer, and staying power against all of those creams.

Thank you! It’s been quite a while since I’ve logged in and poked around the forums. I’ve carried that recipe over to various devices from some older RTAs to newer ones…typically running on dual claptons. Seems to hold up well enough…I thought flavor percent was high way back when but it tasted so darn good! I thought about messing with strawberry shisha…or trying a different strawberry like you said…even tried subbing out blueberry for the strawberry…results were not nearly as good…

Well that’s got a VERY substantial creamy/cracker/crust foundation, so not every SB may work, or BB for that matter.

Hey I have a question for you cuz I had to rip my Crook’s Spicy Slutty Custard down …it turned out harsh as fuck. Here’s the recipe from here do you see where I may have gone wrong?
I need a few mins to find the picture

@ladycrooks. Interesting, I looked at the recipe (you sent it to me via messages) and cannot see anything that would cause harshness. I don’t have any of the other flavours you added to the mix but they all read ok in the notes. How long was your steep?

Have you made any other changes?

Too much custard in proportion. I like Vin custard ( cap). Would start it at 5%.The Premium at 2.5% and the TPA 1.0 to1.5. The Steep time a minimum 4 weeks.

Yummy! I have everything but the Marshmallow Vanilla (OOO). I bet I could still make it work, looks lovely.

@rcleven Yes, I can see your point. I prefer my custards very prominent as my taste is not very proficient so I need stronger flavour mixtures.

@ladycrooks tried my original recipe which only has the three custards in the listed percentages and liked it which is why she based this recipe on it. Perhaps adding the other ingredients has changed the way the custards present, but with the OG I get no harshness at all, just a rich, creamy custard.

But then, taste is a very subjective thing as is vaping style. I vape low wattage MTL, but @ladycrooks recently mentioned she has changed to DTL so the percentages, indeed the whole recipe, may not work as well in the modality.
