A friend of mine (guy who has me making all these recipes) just turned me onto them at his family Christmas party on Christmas eve. I loved it. Sitting at a Christmas party listening to dark metal with two 10" Cerwin Vega subs he built for his home theater system was just odd, but nobody seemed to mind. Kickass band!
He said they are all classicaly trained musicians. You can tell. The instrumentals are fantasic.
Indeed! Those Swedes sure can make music! Opeth is kinda interesting though, because it’s really dark in the beginning, with their death metal and growling, but they gradually find themselves - The latest album Pale Communion bears almost no resemblance to their early work. But it’s great none the less. And as you say, they’re really good musicians!

Never got the chance to hear them, but some of my friends have - They played at CopenHell a few years back! They’re playing in Sweden next year, as Iron Maiden support
I’m seriously considering purchasing a ticket to CopenHell next year, it’ll be the last chance to see Black Sabbath ;D

There is no easy way to say this…our mighty, noble friend Lemmy passed away today after a short battle with an extremely aggressive cancer. He had learnt of the disease on December 26th, and was at home, sitting in front of his favorite video game from The Rainbow which had recently made its way down the street, with his family.
We cannot begin to express our shock and sadness, there aren’t words.
We will say more in the coming days, but for now, please…play Motörhead loud, …

Nice one man, been awhile since I heard that one. They’d prolly mix very well if a DJ played with’em. Long ago, Enigma was a stepping stone for me to find VAST. Hard to believe that VAST is just one dude layering a bunch of his own tracks and cutting the vocals too. Yup… This is all one guy…mind blown…
