What're you listening to?

May favorite Dead album. I especially like these two -

Have you happened to catch that John Mayer and the surviving Dead members jam? I saw ads for it on youtube, and although I’m a bluesy John Mayer fan (not the pop shite) I loathe the Dead…but you might like it, although I’m sure he’s no Jerry Beary.

Myself, I’ve been buying up old 80s metal CDS from eBay, and right now I’m listening to a stack that I received today…so now I’m listening to Whitesnake’s self titled release…and “the very best of Rainbow” is up next!..with all the singers, Ronnie James Dio, Joe Turner, and Graham Bonnet.

I’ve been steady buying up all the music from my youth on ebay…CDS are so cheap there, I buy em, rip em and then load em up on my MP3 player…and rockin out! \m/

Haven’t seen that Mayer/Dead thing.

But…life’s not a wheel with chains made of steel, so bless me

That little effer could certainly sing. Ugly little hobbit.

You know, I thought you were still talking about the Dead, and while I was just now listening to that song “Catch the Rainbow”, I heard the lyrics to your quote…that’s so rad you know Rainbow and Ronnie James Dio.

But speaking of that song, it really sounds like Blackmore’s take on Little Wing.

First saw Ronnie in Nuremberg, GE in 1984 at the Monsters of Rock concert. Wow, 14 hours of rock, hash, boobs beers and brats. (that’s bratwurts, not spoiled children

My first concert was Sacred Heart tour.

I like the bluesy John Mayer as well.

I also like some Dio , here is a cover of one of my favorite rainbow songs.

I apologize for straying away from David Bowie (R.I.P.) …

Chris Cornell is one of my favorite vocalists of all time and he does an amazing job with this song written by the one and only Prince …

David Bowie will be sorely missed. Goodbye David!

My favorite of his recordings is probably his best known work. There are tons and I could fill this page with Bowie track that probably many people here didn’t realize was David’s work or have never heard of.

He’s only going to die once, so yeah here’s another couple. Love that Mick Ronson is in both as well. So many will never realize Bowie was actually very good on the instruments as well. RIP David Bowie.
