Man, I hope you’re not building a bagel and lox recipe. Next thing I know you’ll be searching for Nova Scotia lox because the regular ain’t good enough

Yes extra smoked.

What im looking to make is that perfect cream cheese base i can use in multiple recipes.

Even with cheesecakes i dont find any to hit that right type of cheesecake i like. They are all more of the airy slightly sour cheesecake variety which isnt bad but i like that more heavy sharp slightly dry cheesecake

Oh nvm im dumb. I actually do have wf marscapone. I havent used it yet

I just tried sft wf marscapone at 3 percent but i get more Al Capone then marscapone . Seriously it tastes like rotting flesh or something. I had to rewick and clean my rda it was so bad. Maybe it needs lots of steeping? Or i went way too high?

I steep everything and seldom sft. Just throw it in a box for a couple weeks.

3% Holy Crap I usd to use WF Mascarpone at no more that .50% any higher than 1% and it was rotten baby puke to quote IDT10.

So you basically test your flavors in a recipe or pairings? You wouldn’t be the first person to say they seldom SFT.

Once in a while ill try to use flavors i havent SFT but its a lot more unsucessfull usually. When i make recioes with all SF tested flavorings i make a good recipe like 80 percent of the time but when i dont that goes down to like 25 percent. I currently have around 250 testers out of my prob 600 flavorings now. I need to get busy SFT more. To me theres nothing more valuable then when i think up something i wanna make i can go grab some testers and drip them together in a rda right away to see how they work together. The best part is you find really special pairings this way because you have quick acess to try things you would never really think to pair in a recipe

I just mix up whatever comes to mind. Only have a handful of recipes I mix fairly regularly. My buds get bored easily.

I’ve been making a few of the same ADV for awhile now and need something new. Luckily, I can look at recipes and pretty much know if they’ll work for me because of experience with the flavors already but it is fun to mix up something out of your usual picks. It also gets me to use flavors I have sitting around doing nothing. I don’t like wasting stuff :slightly_smiling_face:

I have a White Whale maybe someone can help me with. This is the first time I want to create a recipe based on the type of bottle it’s going in because I like the bottle and don’t want to throw it out.
Trader Joe's Organic Vermont Maple Syrup
It’s made with real vanilla bean. Just thought I’d mention it. So, I’d like to make some sort of maple forward mix. I’m open to ideas. It can be a dessert, a tobacco, beverage, whatever.
