Yes sir…I have all the necessary templates for DNA Mods. What are you thinking? Like this type enclosure?
yeah that silver bezel is the clincher, looks sweet man
Like the acrylic/marbled whatever that is. I think it’s gorgeous.
I can get you taken care of, brother.
I have a few other pieces of resin and stabilized wood. Check these out:
FML
I’m in, I was just talking about stabilised wood with the mrs…that sounds wrong …but you get me brother, I’m definitely in after xmas for one of those bad boys, I don’t even know which one I like best out of them…Think I like the blue…2nd one from the left…but then I like the end grey one…AND the green one…shiiiit…dude…lmao…
Stabilised or petrified?
Never petrified dude…never…
and I’m 45 so rarely stabilised either now I think about it… lol
I use to do some wood art… about a dozen years ago my wife’s uncle “gave me a tree” (he was an 80+ year old logger) he said when he saw the tree that had been knocked down from a tornado and how the wood looked like some of the prettiest he had ever seen, he thought I would like it. He told me the only thing it would cost me was to have it cut up… and he would transport it to the mill. After a hundred bucks, I had a few hundred feet of some of the nicest black walnut when sanded and cleaned. If I had the means to stabilize it I’d send some your way, I had a person I knew that made pens and he had traded a few to me for a couple of feet once to use as pen blanks.
Do you stabilize… or know someone that does?
Hmm…I haven’t stabilized any wood myself, but I have looked into it. I’m not ready to try it myself just yet, my plate is already full. But I’d be willing to try it in the near future. Or, if it would better suit the good, maybe I could find someone.
Most excellent offer, I must say…most excellent, indeed
Not a problem, just give me a heads up sometime and I’ll pull something out and cut it down for ya. I haven’t touched it in 7 or 8 years, so it isn’t like I’m going to anytime in the future, that and the wood I would be sending wouldn’t be something I could use anyway without re-cutting it (my scrollsaw work used much thinner material).
EDIT typos
I’m loving that one second from the left. But maybe @Pugs1970 called it already. Maybe I don’t know what size you need.
Here’s where the fun begins. I have a mod that I’ve thought may times about pulling the board on and making my own. Trouble is I don’t have nearly enough tools for doing fine detail. And I also would like it to be a 2 battery box. Not sure what that entails for taking a DNA mod and making it run on 2 batts rather than the lipo pack it’s already using. I think you simply connect the new sled and then customize within Escribe. Surely someone knows.
Tell you what. I’ll pack it up and send it to you. No rush at all. You will have the freedom to pick out the resin and build it however you want. Sound like a plan? One other thing. Do you have a way of engraving designs? I would love a Trinity Celtic Knot! I can supply the graphic but not a template.
Hey…I’m in mid build. I will PM you here in a bit. I got you, brother.
Dude, I do love that one but I didn’t even know it was available?, I’m more than happy to choose something else man, it will be after Xmas before i can order another anyway
That almost looks like you’ve whittled away all day on a bowling ball to do that mod.true craftsman sir.very impressed with your work.
Just wanna throw this out there:
i was able to secure 20 enclosures and boards at a pretty great price, which has cut my production costs enough that i can pass some of that to any one wanting one of my mods(some exceptions).
i can do several of these, assorted colors, 25mm thick, for $75.
PM me if initerested.
Green is sold, but i can build more.
Laser etch??..
'Wow is it that table top laser engraver from Amazon/Ebay? Colors would match…
No doubt it is a laser , I can tell that from the yellow warning stickers.
I am not sure if it is an etcher/carver or a full blown cutter?
I am sure of one thing ,we will be witness to some pretty neat shit shortly!!!
laser engraver for sure…currently calibrating it, which is proving to be a bit tricky, but its obvious to everyone that i ahve an eye for detail…so stay tuned!!!
