Who still buys commercial juices?

It may actually be an outlier (there is no off taste, quite the opposite), most concentrates that discolor a lot are either weak (aroma diminished) or out right putrid. i.e., I will never order another 120mm of CAP Sugar Cookie again, it gets disgusting after a year in the bottle, if unused.

Spose if you’re using it that infrquently it’s just sitting there there’s no point ordering that much, but gosh it’s nice to know you’ve got 100mL of a flavour you like

I’m going to be using the rest of it in fairly quick order now

The new order I might add, hasn’t even been packed still - since monday when I placed the order.

That’s 5 days since ordering without any idea when it’s even coming, which I won’t bitch about again because I ranted about it yesterday, but vendoirs really should consider accurate stock counters on their sites an aspect of trustworthy business conduct.

Last week it only took 1 day to pack, send and be in my hands.

This time, after a full 5-days there’s nothing: already, I’ll be telling anyone who asks about VTA’s “We’ll send it when we get around to it” attitude to orders, because - as I said in whichever thread - it’s not the delay that bothers me, but the fact there’s no follow-up email with an ETA on stock or any indication whether it’ll be here next week even - or two months from now and they shouldn’t be taking money from customers for products they don’t have.

I could’ve ordered somewhere else and be mixing my new flavours days ago.

Yeah.

Not that I’m deeply upset about it, I’m not even pissy really though it’ll colour my opinion of VTA and probably make me think twice in future about whether to support the local VTA, or just order from a larger, faster vape shop that carries Capella, TFA, FlavourArt etcetera and have my order within 1-3 days.

Like, the flavours are fuckin’ great, but having a great product means shit if they’re too useless to keep their products in-stock and too useless to respond to their customers: standing in a room full of empty shelves slappin’ his fuckin’ head like rainman because he can’t even give his customers an estimate on when he’ll actually have the products he’s already taken their money for, is not the way to go about imbuing confidence in said customers that you know how to run a business.

This isn’t some co-op venture where we put up capital and he gives us stuff at massive discount - it’s a retail business and he’s charging top dollar for a product he doesn’t have.

Just sayin’, y’know :slightly_smiling_face:

See, I could wind myself into a shit-fit thinking how unprofessional that is, but I won’t because I’ll end-up ranting for an hour about it and I’ve got more creative things to do with that hour.

I’d thought about emailing them to find out which flavours are out of stock, so I could swap them out with something else, but then reconsidered: I spent a full day carefully adding and removing and considering which flavours can be paired into different mixed and which can be used together, then remove that 30mL - replace it with a 100mL, dump that 50mL for a 30mL and generally spent the day building a list of flavours that will all be of use.

They’re the ones I want, so I’ll leave it and wait.

Oh so that’s the remedy. I’ll have to try that on some commercial juice someone gave me.

I had to talk about this because I’m just disgusted with my experience. You know that juice that seems to be everywhere, Killer Kustard by Vapetasia? I was given some and thought okay now I’ll know why everyone buys this stuff. Well, I suppose they didn’t get the flavor too wrong but egads, what and how much sweetener do they put in that stuff? I thought I would need treatment for blood toxicity. And my coil was a mess by the end of the day. It was like Saccharin, awful. Does anyone know what they use as a sweetener in that stuff? I have very little experience with sweeteners and would like to know if I poisoned myself

Don’t worry, we’ll take up a collection and send a nice bouquet to the wake.

@muth My coils go to shit immediately after vaping KK too. So much so I didn’t finish my 100ml.

My custards aren’t very far off that juice anyways- and use FAR LESS sweetener.

Back to the original question (Though I just read this whole thread and it was pretty cool)…
I buy commercial juices occasionally when I’m at the wholesale vape shop picking up coils for my armada of asian vape tanks (Smok, Freemax, Vaporesso, Horizon, etc) , and I usually get stuff that is “out of my wheelhouse”, for inspiration and variety, then use that to steer my mixing in other directions.
I’ll tell you what though, I would sure love to know how they made Vape Kitchen’s “Bad Mother Custard”!. That stuff was magical. My favorite commercial juice ever. I would even tone it down now that I’m more into tame mixes, but I’d love to get that recipe.
Anyone?

Can’t help on this, but you have piqued my curiosity now. Is Vape Kitchen the manufacturer?

TASTIEST SHIT ON THE MARKET

Here’s an interesting thread on Reddit. and another one here. I don’t ever buy a commercial juice, but this one i might (if on huge sale).

…they do their own extractions, so there’s way more work than just chucking 8 tons of sucralose in a bottle and calling it premium…

…They infuse their custard base with Madagascar vanilla over the course of 3-6 months. That’s dedication right there. And Chef Oren is an actual chef which explains his remarkable palate and wonderfu unique creations.

Chef Oren who is the owner and mad chemist of The Vape Kitchen is a classically trained chef who studied in the culinary arts in San Francisco many moons ago before chefs were ever known as TV celebrities. He also worked at a few well known restaurants here in Los Angeles.

Bad Mutha Custard - Vanilla VG and add that to our creamy, rich custard base consisting of 3 different vanillas, 2 complex caramels, 4 different cream/milk compounds and a touch of spice.

That is definitely appealing.

Thanx! Might have to look into that.

All of their juice is 100% VG and they use Vanilla VG as a base.

It does look like an art:
Opus 1: A delightful blend of 25 flavors layered over a smooth and complex base of 14 day infused earl grey and Vanilla VG.
Opus 4: Warm and boldly toasted almonds pair naturally with toasted coconut and Spanish Saffron infused VG. Generous notes of cream provide a comforting and rich base for this 30 ingredient Vape masterpiece. (Reddit)
