Agree. Both of those rdas look spot on
The Recurve had one stellar aspect for meā¦ The mouthpiece. lol
Though honestly, I didnāt spend much time on it either. After a handful of builds on it, and not being impressed at all with the āmeshā strips that it shipped with, combined with the fact that I wasnāt going to buy the mesh it probably should have been shipped with for it (especially when it was the only atty I would have requiring mesh)ā¦ Add in the fact that most recommended it needing a stiffer support spring under the ceramic pieceā¦
There just seemed to be too much working against it to be bothered with.
Or am I confused again, and thinking of the Profile? /sigh
Got them about the same time, and disappointed in both, so hard to keep them apartā¦
Thatās the profile onto my donāt bother list!!
Ultimately itās up to you if you support clones or not. But donāt let anyone fool you, as the complexity of an atomizer increases the disparity in quality between the original and the clone widens drastically. This can range from something as negligible as finish quality(which is not at all negligible to many) to potential health risks when it comes to swapping out one plastic for another.(Shady ultem, peek and PSU substitutes)I am sure there are some exceptions, but they are just that, exceptions, not the rule.
But beyond all that, consider the shoe on the other foot. Would you be alright with a total stranger stealing a recipe of yours, and then selling it in shops as their own premade juice?
I played around with clones in 2016 when I was just getting started. But after I got my first authentic and a few of my clones shit the bed I ditched them all and never looked back. Been 100% clone free since then. If you want to use clones in the end itās no oneās buisness but your own, still thought I would mention the reasons why I and many others donāt. Not trying to start a flame war, and vaping is a weird hill to die on.
Not sure if this was a reply to my post, but I agree. I like to put the money into the hands of the guys that did the R&D.
That said, in defence of clones, many are virtually indistinguishable from the original, many people donāt have the sort of money to buy every high end atty that appears, and itās an expensive mistake if itās not your thing.
There is also a certain hype built using certain marketing practices that seem intended to justify some of the extreme price tags.
That said. Iām going original next, now I know what Iām looking for.
Welcome @Vercingetorix
ELR is not one of those forums where a regular member is going to tell you to āeat poop and dieā, because of your opinion (within reason). And if you ever see shenanigans like that starting to oddly crop upā¦ just flag it. The Mods will handle it.
With that out of the way, personally, Iāve been down both roads; authenticās and clones. Good gracious, have I spent some money on authentic vaping gear! Likewise, I have purchased my share of clones. I will say, I am always extremely happy with the authentic gear. Thus, I have learned my lesson, with regards to buying knock offs. It all depends upon your Vape wallet and its thickness.
I have a gold little Etna ā¦ my Dragon and Nano Wasp arrive todayā¦
Dragon is approaching my mailbox today as well.
battle of the RDAās LOL
If names count, the Dragon winsā¦
I would have gotten it if I had any fun colored mods, but my squonkers are all black or grey, this is the only one with color to it and rainbow wouldnāt look right.
I looked at the Recurve but never bought one. The Reload S does have a very similar deck, but the airflow is totally different. The thing is almost impossible to over squonk. Itās a bit more open than the Hadaly when itās wide open. But itās still a nicely restricted airflow. I can pretty much guarantee if you like the Hadaly you wonāt be disappointed in a Reload S.
I got my SS dragon ā¦ LOVE that it comes with that coil snip thing that should really help me outā¦ too stressed at the moment to try and put a build on itā¦ TEENAGERS!!! I swear these boys are going to be the life of me
I love that too, but will just eyeball when I get used to seeing the appropriate length.
Man, the flavor of this thing is fantastic! Easy to biild too. Awesome little fellow.
I did buy an extra drip tip with mine that had a spit guardā¦ no more hot juice smacking me LOL
Iāve tried. I just canāt get into the restrictive airflowā¦ for now. My preferences may change in time but Iām not sure. I like using one bigger coil in a RDA with a fair amount of airflow. The Elder Dragon is about perfect IMO. I also like a lot of others. The Nudge 22 is bordering on not enough airflow, but itās acceptable. I know everyoneās different and a lot of people like restrictive RDAs. I just donāt care for them. I couldnāt even get into the Recurve or Asmodus C4.
It is a bit spitty. Iāll have to learn the juice well sweet spot.
The coils in the box are great in the Elder Dragon. I put it on my Feedlink and vaped away with one of those coils getting awesome flavor. For me, the Elder Dragon is unmatched for flavor (with the way I like to vape).
I finally ended up with the cthulhu mjƶlnir at the top of my list for an RDA. Now Iām fishing for an RTA to replace my Ammitās.
