Welcome to the forum Arun
Hi @all I have been reading for a few days so I decided to introduce myself.
Iāve been vaping for approx. 5 years now, initially I was a cloud chaser which vaped as well for about 3 years now I only vape and have changed to a mtl caper which is a flavour addict.(thatās how I landed here)
Like many others I have spent a kings ransom on hardware and flavors but Iām happy with the situation
Hope to try some good recipes and post some of my creations
Welcome to the forum Mantis
Hi. My name is Cary and I am getting ready to start to mix my own juice. Been vaping for 6 years and have been tobacco free all that time (after smoking for almost 50 years). I just got my first orders from Liquid Barn and River Supply and hope to get 5 or 6 tobacco and tobacco/menthol flavors going either later today or tomorrow. I was pleasantly surprised to find this sight and have lurked since first starting my research a couple of weeks ago. Seems like this is a fine forum with friendly folks and lots of good information. Being new, I wonāt have much to contribute and hope to learn a bunch from all of you.
My hobbies include music (listening and playing, though have played no live gigs since March) and traditional wet shaving (with soap, brush and vintage double edge razors and current double edge blades). Am also an avid reader of junk fiction.
Thanks to everyone for making this forum a great place to be, to participate in and to learn.
Respectsā¦Cary
Welcome Cary 1.
I lurked here for ages but eventually decided to pop my head up and have certainly not regretted it. There are some very knowledgeable, helpful and just genuinely nice people here.
Shaving is an interesting hobby and not one that Iāve ever heard of before. Personally I find shaving a chore,so much so that I gave up a few months ago and now just trim my beard once a week!
Welcome @Cary1 a lot of information accumulated in the forum, and a lot of friendly people always ready to help. I hope that you enjoy your stayā¦
Hi @Mantis. Like you, I am new to this forum, but a long time vaper. Hope you find some recipes that tickle your taste buds and provide wonderful vaping satisfaction.
Hi @Gazza7. Thanks for the warm welcome. I also found shaving to be a chore. When I switched to traditional wet shaving, it became a pleasure. There is something very āzenā and mindful about staying in the moment and experiencing the ritual of using a brush and soap. Shaving like this allows me to appreciate the feel of the brush and soap against my face, smelling the aromas of different scents, the sound of the blade against the skin. I know many will find it strange, but for me, it is somewhat similar to vaping, except vaping hits the taste buds and the visual of seeing the clouds. What can I say, I am a somewhat strange fellow.
Thanks @all. I look forward to learning and experimenting. I made 5 mixes of different tobacco flavors for my housemate and 5 of menthol tobacco for myself (small 10mg mixes). They are steeping and I look forward to trying them in a week. Gotta say, I really had fun mixing them yesterday and found the recipe calculator really helpful. I did single flavors (except for adding menthol to the ones for me) of Sweet Tobacco (Purilum), American Red (DV), AR American Blend Gold (DFS), RY4 (HS) and Dark Vapure (FA). I hope these will provide a variety of unique tobacco flavors.
This thread is an oldie, but a goodie. Some of the flavors discussed are probably no longer available, but you may be able to get ideas for some tobacco blends. Donāt be afraid to blend a few tobacco flavors, to change the personality of a mix. I canāt think of a solo tobacco flavor that I can vape as an all day vape. The magic (for me) comes in blending a few tobacco flavors together.
Have fun, and welcome to ELR, from a fellow tobacco head.
