Be polite and introduce yourself!

@d_fabes Thanks for the reply. I have blended a few different tobacco flavors that were premixed, so I expect to do some blending as I mix my own. Starting with single tobacco flavors will hopefully give me a starting point from which I can experiment. I will check out some of the recipes. Much appreciated.

Hello Vape family. My name is Robert and my wifeā€™s name is Gina. We live in North Florida. January 2020 my wife and I quit the cigs thanks to vaping. We both were smokers for over 30 years. I want to take this time not only to introduce ourselves but to thank the vape family as a whole for all your knowledge and the support. When I felt weak I would lose myself in all the awesome information and success stories.

My wife may be sweet but she has me slaving away making her juice and building her rdas cracking that whip but not in the fun kinky way :grimacing::joy::joy::joy: Iā€™m just kidding around :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:. Iā€™m more than happy to make her happy and safer than before. Gina was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis and that was a major contributing factor as to why we quit cigs and started vaping plus weā€™re both Cancer survivors (long story) We had to make a change and fast. Iā€™m very proud to say we are feeling so much better now.

My wife, Gina likes watermelon (real or candy), she absolutely loves florals such as Jasmin and Honeysuckle, and fruits with or without cream.

As for me, I love strawberry. Strawberry would have to be my favorite. I have noticed I can be a bit picky. After one year of mixing Iā€™ve found a total of two juices I can consider my ADVā€¦ BUT Iā€™ve also found a new hobby that I find to be very relaxing and rewarding so the sky is the limit.

I look forward to getting to know everyone and thank you all for your dedication and hard work.

Hello fellow vapers, My name is Abigail, I go by Abby. I was a pack a day smoker for 37 years. My first day without a cigarette was Feb 6, 2018. My daughter & I made a pact to give up cigarettes once and for all. She was already a vaper but when she was at my house, she was a smoker too right along with me.

So she took me down to the local vape shop & I purchased my first mod. It was a vaporesso veco one plus. The price of commercial juice was just too high a the vape store so when I got home, I went on line & made my first purchase of about 8 different kinds of juice. I also purchased another mod online, a Smok Mag. When my 2ns mod & juice had come in, I figured that I was all set because if one of them didnā€™t work for some reason, I had a backup. I smoked & vaped for a few days then I finally made my mind up to Jump. I smoke my last cigarrette on the 5th of Feb. (with almost a whole carton of cigarrettes that I gave away soon after) & I havenā€™t smoked another one since that day. My main goal was to get in the habit of saying ā€œwhere is my vapeā€ instead of ā€œwhere is my cigarrettesā€. And I am happy to say that I am very much in the habit of saying"where is my vape" as I am constantly setting it down somewhere & having to back track to find it.

After I had quit, I was always online looking for new flavors of juice & just reading stuff. That is when I came across about making your own juice & how easy it was & how much more cost effective it was & I am all about cheaper. That is when I found ELR (& ATF). I started getting my stuff together. I got my VG, PG, & Nicotine from Nicotine River. I Got me a good scale off Amazon. I got me some bottles off Fastech, I think. Then I got on ELR & found me several recipes that I wanted to make & made my first concentrate purchase, again from Nicotine River. I probably spent over $700 dollars on stuff before I ever made my first recipe. I also kept enough commercial juice on hand in case I didnā€™t like the recipes I made. I always made sure there was no reason for me to go back & smoke a cigarrette. This was all by May/June of 2018, just 3-4 months after my quit date & I have been mixing my own juice ever since & I love it.

I had been on the forum a little bit, but most of my time was spent looking at recipes to try next. & after 3years, I only have a handful of recipes that I really like to make. My favorites are bakeries & I like them sweet, very sweet, commercial juice sweet. I have always love sweets to eat. I could live off sweets if I could so vaping them is no different to me. But here recently (the last 5-6months), I have been spending more & more time on the forum just reading so I figured it was about time that I said Hello & introduced myself to everyone. I have seen a lot of your names so much, I already feel like I kind of know you already.

I live in South Georgia in a very small town out in the country. I canā€™t even see a house from where I live. We live at the dead end of the road so we donā€™t see much traffic. Itā€™s very peaceful. The work I used to do was as an office manager more than anything else, but my last job was as an assistant controller (over accounting office) at a car dealership in Jacksonville FL. However now, I am disabled & draw SS disability. I have a very painful condition called Peripheral Neuropathy in my legs & feet. I hate it because I loved my job, it was very fast paced & you stayed busy from the time you walked in until the time you left. Now I sit at home with my dog Pinto (female blue pit) with a lot of free time to read. I have very much enjoyed all the stuff that I have read & learned from on the ELR Forum.

I am married & my husband, Wade works for the Railroad. All 3 of our children are grown now. We have twins, Zach & Zoie, that are 19. My oldest daughter, Tabitha (from a previous marriage) is 34 & she had 3 children, so I am a grandma. They call me Nanna though. I have not lived here all my life. We moved to middle TN when I was young, I lived there for 18 years. I moved back here in 1997 to be closer to my mother. My father still lived in TN so we did visit there every year for 2 weeks at Thanksgiving. But my daddy just recently passed on May 5th so we probably wonā€™t be going back as much anymore. He did leave me as the executor over his will so we will have to go back a few more times over the next few months but not so much at Thanksgiving anymore. I do have other family that still lives there though so weā€™ll probably still go from time to time.

That about sums it up. I would like to say THANK YOU to the Vape Family for all the hardwork & dedication that you all have put into this site to make it what it is now. There is so much knowledge to learn on here. This forum is phenomenal. I love spending time on here just reading. Oh one more thing, I have never made my own recipe. You will just find me lurking on here making all of yā€™alls recipes which is fine with me right now, thatā€™s what they are there for anyways. Right?

Welcome @Abbyj3287.

Glad you poked your head up. I was very similar.
Although I used to visit a lot and read I didnā€™t actually post until I reached the stage of feeling guilty, like I was using everybodyā€™s knowledge but not contributing.
I still basically research others recipes and substitute some flavours to what I own.
I tried some of my own ideas and Iā€™m afraid my imagination is better than the end product!

Thereā€™s a wealth of knowledge on here and a lot of very helpful people.
