My first attempt, 304ss fused clapton on the griffin. The dual, ohm’ed out at 0.15 and I’m using them in temp control on the ipv5 and its working fine.
Have to get the wraps a bit more even, for looks, but flavour’s there and plentiful vape.
Not one for the photography but thats with the iPhone and a macro lens.
Didn’t realise you went through so much thinner gauge wire.
More on the way.

Here’s a build I whacked into the Griffin last night.
Dual coil TIGER WIRE 24gNi80/.8mmK1 3.5mm 7 wrap 0.25ohms
Sorry I haven’t been here in a while work/home and Instagram has been keeping me busy.
I’ll try and frequent here a little more in the upcoming weeks.
Thank you one and all for continuing this thread and it’s so impressive to see the skill developing on intricate coil builds like this.
I kind of thought that with the introduction of TC that coil building maybe lost forever but I guess not lol.

Did another framed staple. 8 0.5x0.1n80 ribbon framed with 26g n80 claptoned with 38g n80
Running it single coil on the double vision as its very low. 0.13ohm

The framed staple wire I made earlier created a beautiful looking dual coil set.
Here’s some pics.
26gNi80 Frames with 5ply 0.4mmX0.1mm Ribbon Kanthal wrapped in 38gNi80. 6 wrap 3mm dual 0.12ohms
Then I’ve also entered a build off contest by Blueeyedgoon83 with the following.
2x26g/44g nichrome fused clapton core Space Wrapped Alien with 38gNi80 4 wrap 3mm 0.13ohms.

Staged heating… a crazy light show. That was one on favorites when I was builder.
This was a slightly hammered 26/38 fused Clapton with 28/38 Clapton in parallel on a 3mm. 0.112ohms.
I’ve now also got s VCM LE 24K gold mech that I’ve paired up with my DOTMOD PETRI and a DISTRICT F5VE KupCake chuff cap.

Here’s a couple of new pics for you all here.
So I decided to bite the bullet so to speak and purchased the latest offering from DotMod the Petri v2 with 2mmX3mm cyclops post hole on each post.
The build in this Petri is a 2x26/38 alien parallel 24 all nichrome80. 6/5 wrap on a 3mm 0.092 ohms.

3 strand twisted 34g twisted with single stand 28g.
would do some better but i currently own one small ass build deck (billow v2) barely got these in without shorting out. glad the idea came to me though one of the best vapes I’ve had to date. possibly better than fused clapton. definitely on par.

What internal diameter were these?
They look like a 3mm?
I’ve found with anything intricate for the billowv2 you ideally need to use 2.5mm or less.
3x30g twisted and paralleled with 29g
30/34 staggered fused claptons.
32/38 fused claptons with parallel 29g.
All of these coils were wrapped on a 2.4mm driver.
Your coils look good although they seem rather large for the billow.

I’m only a newbie to builds, 3yrs vaping and been a lazy sod for the most of it. Coil building and DIY were 2 things I avoided for the longest time. Now I enjoy both.
The coil isn’t great here, just 26/32 clapton wire, I was just being a bit artsy
