Those are the kind of stories I love to hear. Great work, SO
Thank you sir, but I have to credit 66 years of bumping around in the thing we call life that taught me these things.
This is my daughter’s store in Pennsylvania - but I’m sure the one here in FL looks the same.
I was just at my local grocers in MA to pick up some coffee and the paper towels and TP were wiped off the shelves. The store was in a panic at 10am in the morning. After seeing that I added TP to the list, lol.
Not to worry, ya’ll. A trucker will be resupplying those grocery stores. Most restock twice per week.
Truckers are really pushing hard now, to deliver goods quickly. Our industry was in its usual lag until just over a week ago. We be humming along now!
Absolutely, for those that can have kids at home, keep them home, have teachers provide “homework lessons” so they don’t fall behind or use the internet classes if they have that.
This would at least reduce the numbers in schools and reduce the risk if children are asymptomatic carriers.
Are you in the transportation business, Alisa?
Hubby is a Driver . I’m just his cook and sometimes navigator and weather woman. Pretty much a Galley Wench, but on a truck.
We just delivered A trailer full of beer. Had toilet paper this morning.
From my former time in healthcare we had a special daycare set up for our kids during a medical crisis like this. It worked very efficiently.
During President Donald Trump’s declaration that the coronavirus will be treated as a national emergency, Doug McMillon, CEO of Walmart, announced that Walmart would use their parking lots as coronavirus test centers.
Alabama schools close Wednesday. Went to Walmart to pick up my prescriptions and they were out of toilet paper, rice, beans, water, milk, bread. My 13 year old was with me and was shown first hand what panic looks like, now being the little macho man he is he turned to me and said mom I can go kill a deer or turkey or go fishing I won’t let you starve. Kind of made me tear up because I have great kids and that he was thinking of someone other than himself, well I raised him right. Thankful that I bought the bidet. My kids butts will be clean

Some info regarding packages from China:
(I would suggest that this now relates worldwide though):
How does the virus spread?
The coronavirus is most likely spread from person to person through:
• direct contact with a person while they are infectious
• contact with droplets when a person with a confirmed infection coughs or sneezes
• touching objects or surfaces that are contaminated by droplets coughed or sneezed from
a person with a confirmed infection, and then touching your mouth or face
NOTE: This is not considered an increased risk to cargo and mail workers as on most dry surfaces, coronaviruses die within a few hours as secretions dry out.
The World Health Organization has advised it is safe to receive international letters or packages as, from previous analysis, coronaviruses do not survive long on objects, such as mailed items2.
Close contacts1 (such as people staying in the same house or sharing a closed space for a prolonged length of time with someone who is infected) are most at risk of infection
1 A close contact is someone who has spent more than 15 minutes face-to-face, or more than two hours in a closed room, with an infected person.

Finally the Aust Govt have pulled their finger out providing an ad campaign on what to do:
