From what I’ve heard around me here and there, our governments decision to not go to lockdown is getting a lot of criticism from specialists and other countries.
They say they’ve taken the wrong decision
Noting numerous posts on social media from south eastern Michigan indicating greatly reduced traffic on the streets and stocked shelves in grocery stores. Some positive signs.
Yeah, they’re probably right. I don’t know what to say to it though… people are just too dumb to realize they’re about to lose their freedom through their own action and not only that, they’ll cause the same for the very many that are using their heads already.
Actually scary how the human react in a crisis
It is… Shame it comes down to beating folks up over tp…
Is this for real?
Is it Ohio or Columbia?
Googling the story, seems like fake news to me
I’m watching the news and the feds are seeking a stimulus package cash payment to Americans, but the amount is not yet determined, but they are predicting about $1000 in the next 2 weeks. That’ll be great if they can make this happen.
Not a clue what to believe, @anon28032772
Seems like a lot of the news are reporting the same bits…
My doc says that asymptomatic people are less likely to qualify for a test. This, like you say, is contributing to the spread. I don’t want to be a walking time bomb for others. Unfortunately, I have further news. My SIL and her sister have not yet recovered. SIL had to be pulled off work and sent to hospital for a lung scan. She was having difficulty breathing. She also has RA so she already has a compromised immune system. Coincidentally, both sisters are smokers.
I still can’t figure out what the big deal is about toilet paper. All sources everywhere are confirming there is PLENTY and people keep going crazy over it
This where that portable bidet attachment would come in handy, lol. And even saves lives, too
There’s just not enough test kits globally to test everyone so they keep them for people that need the right treatment and to know how to protect others from the sick.
Our state is receiving kits now. But my doctor can’t push for a test until she has more information on the presumed infected source I had contact with. I’ll post an update below. I actually have good news for me anyway.
My doctor told me to go ahead and get to the grocery store and get some food. This is because I’ve been asymptomatic and I can’t get any updates from my employer about that house. You can’t imagine how relieved I was to be freed from this obligatory quarantine. This doesn’t mean I can socialize. She wants me to restrict outside activities to essential needs only.
Then…
I get a text from my boss saying that the group home denies anyone having a virus or coming in contact with anyone having the virus. So they changed the whole story! I hope the state launches an investigation of that house. Are they even conscious of how they disrupted peoples’ lives? 6 drivers total were asked to quarantine because of them.
I’ve only seen psychological analysis of this phenomenon. It has to do with people feeling that they need to do something because of the magnitude of this outbreak. One of the best explanations was that it was something they could afford to do. It also speaks to the “fog” induced during panic.
Right. Besides, if you need 144 rolls of toilet paper for 2 weeks you have a bigger problem than covid.
For the moment, I think everybody’s life is disrupted one way or another… for some more than others.
It’s in everybody’s best interest to limit exposure to other people right now and the best we can all do is show a little goodwill to help the common cause and our national state of health.
If you listen to things like this
I think we can all put our own life disruptions in perspective.
