I think this virus is going to give a healthy wake up call to people to start cleaning this planet up.

I’m a baby boomer (late stage lol). I knew in the 70’s global warming was an issue. I was 12 when they started talking about it.
I’m not upset. I will agree though that ignoring what’s in your face will eventually slap you. I hope I didn’t upset you by my joking around?
@anon84779643 They missed it by 1 generation lmao. I could have swore it was the Xgen or the one right after (although, I have to admit, for an Xgen my son is incredibly responsible and smart. Well… I guess he got that from his mom lmao).

I was wondering why the US was ramping up wartime powers and re- tasking the US industries. I wanted to ask people who watched this evenings presidential address… Did they switch to commercial or something towards the end?
Trump’s slipped up a couple of times and gone completely liberal in his statements at the podium. I didn’t get to see all of it.
Has anyone noticed Trump going quite liberal in his statements in his addresses too??? I don’t think he’ll stand on them but he’s getting more bold every day.
Well, I wondered when I might start seeing things like this. Comments in America about limiting driving across state lines. Now a global recession. I think it’s more that a recession at this point. I think we’ll be lucky if it’s just a recession.
We’re going to have to come up with a long term plan for this pandemic. Sitting at home for a week isn’t going to cut it. Nor is letting so many die overseas. I hope the ventilators they’re going to be making at Ford, GM and other companies start getting shipped over seas too.

ok… that’s post apocalyptic. I wasn’t going THERE yet…
The disposable medical items are an issue. We may have to consider moving healthcare workers into more reusable items such as hazmat suits and a half face respiration mask like painters use. The filters can be modified to kill bacteria and viruses chemically.
It sucks but we’re in it for the long haul. Cranking out face masks like mad can cause an issue if base material runs short at the manufacturing plants.
The US is sooo far behind on this it’s not funny.
Thank you for your noble effort to volunteer as savior and grace us with your advanced knowledge of all things. Your ability to enhance the masses capacity to think is amazing. I sense with your leadership all will soon be lollipops and unicorns as you bring the age of enlightenment to fruition.

I was going to try to post some humor but then realized I would be thrown out of the forum, then banished from the planet… Yep. I decided against it.
It was about the pandemic… just saying. can’t be all doom and gloom.
It’s shortsighted to view things as liberal or conservative at a time like this, trump is breaking from political idealism to try to do anything that works, and that’s exactly how it should be looked at, does it help or not help? Nothing else really matters till we get this under control.
