Most do not know how to do that… sad to say. Here is a reminder!

Half the reason why most dr and other staff end up with it, is careless, over worked, exhaustion…

I feel for everyone, this is not a good time…

Thank you VERY much @CosmicTruth with all the blather that is almost overwhelming at times, this is the FIRST time I’ve heard of this discussion. Thank you for that.

@anon84779643 that was a very interesting video, and I’d never heard of that procedure. 5 deep breaths, hold, on 6th strong cough. Repeat for another full 6, then lie on STOMACH, NOT back.

Thanks for the post… very informative explanation (in simple terms) on how easily this virus has spread. The sad part is the US is ill-equipped to provide PPE to caregivers… let alone our entire population. The lack of PPE in the US is one more reason we are leading the world in detected CoV-19 infections.

+1 @CosmicTruth !

I think that extensive testing is a big reason too. You can’t report what you don’t test. And if you’re China, you don’t report even if you do test…

This sheet says the US has run over two million tests and counting.

I’m going by the current stats today… and the severity of problem right now. I didn’t look into to reports on how every country tested…

Either way the point is mask, the need and how we can’t follow recommendations because of shortages @anon70102222.

True that. But the ‘leading the world’ statement is based only on reported data, which is simply incomplete or possibly inaccurate. And frankly, as the numbers go, I’m happy to see how much data has been collected in the US. They’re working hard to gauge the outbreak and working on containment efforts.

Now, a mask question… Are the homemade masks that have been shown here actually effective, or are they really more for the mental comfort side of things? Honest question.

So you’re saying ignore the stats or just leave them out? It’s part of the process I use to track how thing are in the world today. Never considered it from your point of view.

I’m also happy that testing has picked up a we are doing it the best… and I quote… “We have the best test… They’re more accurate… Top of the line!”

The best explanation that I have seen so for…

No, I’m just saying you have to take the numbers with the appropriate caveats. If everyone was tested (and all data was accurate and honest), then obviously we’d have rock solid data we could rely on. All I’m saying is we can only draw conclusions based on the data presented. And that data isn’t a full picture. I consume it as well; it’s the only data out there.

Thanks!
