Doug Has Questions

Ah wait a minute… I think I remember. You mean that thing with the ball things that shake your bottle?
That’s probably even better and less cleanup but it wasn’t very cheap.

Idk but I saw it on the forum somewhere. If I find it I’ll post and It’s supposed to be affordable. We’ll see.

No, but paint? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I think it was this:

$29.95…there’s others similar. For $10 I’ll go with the first one you mentioned. I guess the Bullet is good for larger batches.

Hmn … don’t think I ever saw that one. That’s an actual blender. Could probably work but won’t be easy for small quantities. These DIY paint mixers are good too, no cleanup (which you have with a mixer or blender) but even more expensive.

Good point, thank you.

Whatever it is you get, I’m sure it’s going to be worth it.
My wife’s got a tennis elbow from repetitive work at her job… a good year later it’s still not healing properly. Doctors used her as a lab rat to play with steroid treatments and stuff. A very small amount of people get side effects and of course she’s one of those. I’ll be happy if next year it’ll all be healed but it’s looking more and more like permanent damage.
We all quit smoking for our health and I think it’s a good reason, even if it costs a handful of volatile flavor molecules (even if it is that much). Shaking may be good for your juice but not for your arms.

I have one of those little mixers as well, and use it for all my experiments.
For stock, it’s just time.

@muth the “engine” on that would wear out real quick… I have had a few, for diet reasons.
I do love my smoothies… in the summer time. I wouldn’t trust one.

Thx for the heads up. I probably wouldn’t get it anyway. Today I used a small hand wisk to blend my juice. I used to shake the bejeezes out of it till it was all bubbles and my arms hurt. Somewhere I read that the more bubbles the better but putting all that air in the mix? Sounds like that wasn’t the best idea. What do you do? I like that little battery powered wisk that your friend uses. Do you know how well that holds up?

It is not. Flavor compounds can be very fragile… and by a force of air into your mix… it might taste good that minute, but a week or 2 even a month from then… your juice can go belly up. [bad, yes]

this is yet another cheap “milk frother” ebay from 1.00 to maybe 10.00

I grab my bottle, make sure I have all my flavors nic [if I am adding any… so far 1.5mo nic free now] base… I read my recipe, put in the flavor amounts I need to, add nic if needed, then top with base. I put my cap on… I shake it as well as I can, and then I put it down on my desk. I label it with what it is, nic level etc… and the date… then I stash it in one of my many wood boxes and forget about it for a bit… Time is always the best. Sometimes I remember to shake my mixes… but I always remember to shake before using…

Most Federal work places are required to allow employees (paid) time off to go vote!!

It should be something that all Americans are given access to! Even if it is just an hour!!

We fought for the right to vote. Now give us the time to do so, right?!

I think he may have gotten his VG vs PG info from the same place I did. Good to know it makes no real difference for gunking.

My mother has such a milk frother and I tried it… probably works wonders if you mix in beakers but if you mix like most people do, straight in a small tip bottle, there’s just no way you can push it through the nose of the bottle. It doesn’t even fit through the wider 60ml bottles I have. That’s why I like the Norpro mixer. It has that straight fork mixing attachment that litterally goes in every bottle, even the smallest 10ml bottles I use.

@anon28032772, It was an enterprise sized printer. I only do it part time to feel important. I have a lot of issues (Parkinson’s) that kept me from finding any work until President Obama made it discriminatory to not hire someone who has it. It didn’t help much but now I can do IT subcontracting.

I still think the day of voting should be a national holiday. It angers me that I missed it. I HATE not voting. I feel I was kinda robbed of it.

@authormichellehughes, cool!!! I’ll have to try to get time to do that. I have so much going on I can’t keep up lol.

Yeah I remember you said that nearly 3 weeks ago

I miss that guy. He may not have been the best president ever, he’s made mistakes too but he had his heart in the right place.

Even on national holiday, people are working (think of doctors, border patrol, etc). Some jobs just never stop. Hence you need legislation that prevents bosses to take up so much of your time that you cannot vote, even if you have to work.
Everybody has the right to vote and nobody should be able to take that away from you.
In that sense, I think it’s a good thing that we have a duty to vote. That way nobody can mess with it … but of course, it has negative effects too with those who have no interest in politics and don’t want to vote.
