Yes, ā€œmoistenā€ is definitely the word which slipped my mind when I wrote the post.

Thanks everyone for the informative responses. I raised the creams a touch, and added 2 drops of a butter, and it seems good off the shake. Now to wait a few days to see if the cake completely disappears after these additions. I really hope they didnā€™t. My palate is getting quite tired of SBSC, and Iā€™m running out of ingredients to make many more of these mixes.

Apologies, I very seldom mix a bakery so my brain went the fruit route. Lol
My bakery stash is used as enhancers for yogurt, cream, and cheesecake mixes.

WF buttermilk will moisten a cake/bakery.

Could also use the secret hidden gem called FW Tres Leches itā€™s used in a lot of old school cream cake mixes to produce a slight wet cake flavor.

Would you use it low? I have it, but Iā€™ve never mixed with it.

Yes dependent upon your total %. Iā€™ve always used it around 1% or less as a coop de gras in cake recipes. Itā€™s a good cake but itā€™s real magic is it has a condensed milk/sweet cream vibe to it that blends really well with fruits.

I imagine that a lot of people are doing that. Donā€™t worry it gives everyone ample time to steep and make adjustments if needed.

Accidental learning of flavor comboā€™s is really a win while testing as well.
