I don’t have a recipe to show you but it’s more of a, “How do you fix a mix when you’ve over done it with the butterscotch/caramel?” It’s supposed to be a vanilla forward cakey profile and now it tastes like cake saturated in booze (but not in a good way). Lol, now I’m getting an idea for a Bourbon Cake recipe.

cut it in half or even quarters…

ie: 4oz becomes 2oz x 2…

Hey Smoky, thanks for coming to the rescue. Now that I have your attention, I wanted to ask you something else. I just used the Smooth Vanilla (Flavorah) at 2 drops per 30 ml. At the onset I get a floral note. It seems to be tapering down and some of the vanilla is coming through now. About how long does it take to settle into maturity? That’s a new way of putting it, ey?

Hey, that makes sense. It’s just hitting the 3rd day and I’m starting to notice a difference. Thought I might be imagining things and had to check.

This question is not so much as a “fix my mix” question but more of asking for flavor suggestions to add to the mix.

I finally have a custard mix that I’m very happy with but I can’t vape it constantly and am trying to think of flavors I can add to tweak the profile such as a fruit maybe. I should tell you that I almost always add a bit of coconut to my custard. And, of course, vanilla. My custard also has a bit of a biscuit/cookie added.

I can always add SB, banana, tobacco, but I’m looking for something different. Any suggestions that would put a different face on my custard? Maybe booze? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Bourbon custard is really great to me. I saw something on a live mixing show tonight where they did a bubblegum custard too.

Sounds delish! Would you have a fav bourbon you can recommend? I also just discovered something. I guess just asking the question made my brain work. Here is a list of custards of all kinds. I also tried a Ube Macapuno vape recently which I find different and interesting. The custard article said that it’s always made with coconut. Ube is a purple yam popular in the Philippines. What do you think I could use to replicate that?

I use Flv Bourbon 1% and Kentucky Bourbon 2.50% together and most people say that’s too high but I like it LOL

Oo, Oo, I have RF Aged Bourbon Cream, Hangsen Caramel Toffee, LA Butter Rum and I’ve been curious about FLV Bourbon. Thanks Woftam.

Thanks and sorry to make you type so much. No more questions, I think I have enough to keep me busy. Oh and a tip about those character limits. Just pick one key and let her rip

Hey hey hey, OoO makes an Ube flavor concentrate.
Maybe I can make my own Ube Macapuno?

you can try it…

as far as the flv bourbon… you can tell in my recipes, the highest I go is .4% with it… oak barrel is next and that too is .4% 1% of flv bourbon would not only choke me but turn mushy mushrooms… I do suggest start low at .2% and work your way up to find your spot. I do not use tfa anything either. the flv bourbon keeps me more than happy… but again this is just me… :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve been playing with FA oakwood in custard mixes, it goes really nice with tfa toasted marshmallow but I had to stop doing that because something in the tfa marshmallow flavors bothers my throat… another really good add-on for custards is INW creme brûlée, half a percent adds a nice burnt sugar note to mixes

Maybe something magical happens when you blend TFA kentucky bourbon and Flv bourbon together hahahah never got mushrooms… besides you know my momma would smack me if I didn’t keep her bourbon recipe the exact same way LOL

PS that recipe came from not being able to purchase her favorite eliquid anymore took me about ten tries to get it to where she liked it more than the original.
