You mentioned coconut, and I agree itā€™s a great addition to custards in low percentages. Some I love are TPA Coconut Extra, FLV Coconut, FA Coconut, WF Coconut Custard. Any of these are great additions and honestly I canā€™t say I like one over the other because when I add to custards, generally itā€™s very very scant and most often doesnā€™t make it on my recipe as an ingredient. The recipe is fine without it.

Other wonderful things I found add a different element to a custard are INW Creme Brulee at around 0.4%, FA Oba Oba around 1%, FLV Greek Yogurt around 0.1%, and DIYFS Vanilla Ice Cream around 2%. Not these in combination, but I use them like thisā€¦

Creme Bruelee when the juice is very custard forward. Adds a bit of egginess.
Oba Oba when mixing with fruits, especially stone fruits
FLV Greek Yogurt - often add a tiny bit when mixing custard with berries or nuts
Vanilla Ice Cream when I want something with more depth, but very smooth. Works great with fruits, bakeries, even tobaccos.

This based on mixing primarily with CAP Vanilla Custard V1.

I will just stick to my flvā€¦ as well as what I mess with from my labā€¦ I donā€™t do tfaā€¦ I dont like itā€¦
Personal preferenceā€¦ if it makes you and your mama happy, keep at it. The amount of flv bourbon you are using is just too much, too high. If you like it or your mama does, then go for itā€¦

I normally go till I have exhausted all possibilitiesā€¦ I believe I have a few recipes that have a 8-9mo mixā€¦ over 1k iterationsā€¦ I do not stop till I am satisfiedā€¦ :stuck_out_tongue:

Seriously was just happy I could make something that matched up to her expectations. Considering itā€™s the only thing she vapes.

Are you the fella who uses OoO? :grinning: If so, have you tried their Ube?

Thank you for all the suggestions everyone. Does anyone have a go to Toasted Almond? I donā€™t own that flavor, only almond and marzipan.

Muth, my experience with OoO flavors is very limited. Only one I used which I really love is Creamy Milky Undertone. Problem is I didnā€™t get a big enough bottle when I first got it, never re-upped and never remember to buy more. But I think it likely is a secret ingredient to that ā€œnext levelā€ creamy type vape people often search for but rarely find. Then again, I may vape
too much weed to really know what Iā€™m talking about

Opinions vary, but I truly love CAP Toasted Almond. You can keep TPAs version - I find it hideous. But others also find CAP to be gross. Hereā€™s my favorite of my own recipes using Toasted Almondā€¦

I still love this recipe, and the TA at 2.5% is something I played with considerably. Iā€™ve had variations to this recipe which had TA at 1%, 3% and everything in between. I found 2.5% my sweet spot because I love how it bounces off the other flavors at that percentage.

You might be interested in that Ube Macapuno ice cream dessert. It has noticeable coconut in it. The Filippinos use what they call coconut sport, an unusual type of coconut.

Who am I thinking of, then?

Thanks for the lead and yes, itā€™s frustrating when a gazillion people think a flavor is great and it tastes like Formula 409 to you

@authormichellehughes Iā€™ve noticed that you use Whipped Cream (TFA) a lot. Do you not like Cream Whipped (FA)? Just one of those taste bud things? You and Smoky are churning out the recipes like mad lately. My inbox is loaded, lol. Necessity is the Mother of Invention? Divine Intervention?

Bear in mind that FA Cream Whipped was discontinued (almost a year ago?) and actually prohibited from being sold in North America by FANA themselves. At least if the vendor wants to keep their status as an FA vendor.

To the best of my knowledge, itā€™s still available from the UK or direct from FA Italy.

Tharā€™s right, I forgot. And the reason why I still have some in my arsenal. I remember hearing the news and buying what I could before it ran out. I still have a 30ml bottle.

Well I will be slowing down, reorganizing my recipes as well as my shots, @muthā€¦
I have a lot of work to finish up, a ton of notes and going to be stepping up to get it all done, sometime after Christmas.

btwā€¦ I prefer whipped cream flvā€¦ .6% and up to 1.2% is my zone atmā€¦ I used to love it at .4% but I blame it all on the weather :stuck_out_tongue:

I havenā€™t tried FAā€™s yet because TFAā€™S still does great for me. I may try it after I finish off my TPA but I bought a HUGE bottle of it LOL and I guess I didnā€™t know FAā€™s was discontinued until after re-reading this hahaha so thereā€™s another reason, but I had no idea.
