Fix My Mix - Bring your trouble recipes here!

I’d love to hear the outcome of your own. The one you posted looks yummy and reminds me of a juice I use to buy called Nilla Gorilla, a banana pudding with nilla wafers. I don’t have a lot of banana flavors. The other I have is LorAnn’s Banana Cream. I think I have some INW and the other, WF Banana Puree but I don’t have experience with them.

I hate to do this to a dessert lover who says she can’t eat sweets but here’s the recipe for an idea of what inspired me. Ultimately, I’d like ti get the crust closer to the real one which is made of crumbled shortbread cookies and inundated with butter and crushed pecans. Actually, there’s caramel added too.

and then there’s this one…

@authormichellehughes Thx for the help. I think I’m actually getting to the point where I’m starting to feel the fun. I’ve been uptight and not that happy with my results and my lack of SF testing discipline. But I think I might make one of my recipes public. Not because I think it’s the “end all, be all”. It’s just a decent, solid fruit vape that someone may be looking for or wanting to use to expand on, Idk, but I want to stop being afraid and be more sharing.

LOL as I’m sure you’ve seen here I don’t single flavor test at all… I do triple flavor test… Okay so this is what I’m mixing up based on what you’ve shown me and it’s a HECK of a lot of flavor hahahah

Banana Butter Pecan Pie

1.00% Banana (Flavorah)
3.00% Butter Pecan (FW)
3.00% Butter Pecan (SilverLine) (CAP)
2.00% Caramel Candy (FW)
1.00% Cookie (Flavorah)
2.00% Graham Crust (FA)
1.60% Vanilla Pudding (Flavorah)
1.00% Whipped Cream (Flavorah)

Flavor total: 14.6%

I might cut down those two butter pecans LOL

Ooieee! I likey! I didn’t know about CAP BP (Silverline). I’ll have to try that. I always combine FW and PUR to get a BP that I like. Now I have to try this one.

This is going to be one rich dessert profile hahhahah actually looking forward to trying it

I found that with the PUR I have to use more. I don’t have many of those flavors but I def want to give this a whirl when I do. Gotta start thinking of dinner. Have a great night, Michele, catch you later.

@authormichellehughes Questions: Why Caramel Candy (FW) and not Caramel (FLV)? Why Graham Crust (FA) and not Graham Cracker (FW) or TFA Clear?

Oh geez. I went to River Supply to get a few things and they were having a 50% off sale on flavors. 10 flavors later…

Sorry… I like Caramel Candy for the sweet werther type taste more in this recipe, Graham Crust because I only have to Grahams, and I like this one better than Graham cracker clear. To me FA’S is more like a sweet graham cracker.

LOL I saw that and have thrown more flavors I don’t need in my cart too hahahaha

Okie dokie then, I’ll have to give that a try myself. I don’t have FA Graham Crust yet but am curious. Oh no! I don’t have Caramel Candy (FW) either. Thought I did. I have Salted Caramel.

Off topic but what does your PG taste like? Does it have a bitterness to it?

I’ve only ever used it in a mix but no not that I’m aware of?

When you have the opportunity would you mind tasting a drop? Idk if it’s me or my pg because all my pg has a bittersweetness to it. Yet some people say their’s is sweet. Certain data sheets describe it as sweet, etc. All kinds of opinions, information. It’s making me question my recipes sometimes.

It really doesn’t have much of a taste to it at all. weird

Assuming you meant VG in both cases?

If you’re getting ‘bitter’ from a core component, move on to another source.

What ever it is, it’s not palm based (which is slightly sweet).

Yeah, now this is really weird. Maybe you have feline dna. Cats can’t taste bitterness :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: What brand do you usually buy?
