From a tin hat point of view I’m wondering if Butler has a personal interest in VE and has instructed the authorities to put the boot right into the business.
Remember “The twat from Canberra” comments that Mo made that were plastered all over different media outlets?
The internet itself seems ok for now but it’s early days I suppose. Obviously all specialised vape businesses no longer exist so they don’t have websites anyway and it appears that a lot of the concentrate companies are slowing being squeezed out.
Going from @bede1 post I would imagine it’s possible that any site (including this one) could be blocked to Australians in the future. Worrying times and all so unnecessary.
And yes we are talking about Australia which is supposedly a democracy. Our very national anthem states “ We are young and free”.
VENZ is supplying some products to the pharmacies, so it seems more aimed at punishing them for saying they would continue to ship to Australia.
Most NZ vendors won’t ship to Australia at all now, so I think disrupting access to the VENZ website probably had the desired effect. Being able to access sites using a VPN doesn’t help if they won’t ship to Australia anyway.
I was in Europe when all this kicked in, first I heard was from an Austrian in a vape shop.
By the time I got back almost everything is gone, got some flavours out of Base drop.
Couldnt find coils anywhere much, got an order into Aliexpress which shows sent. Same product now says not available in your country.
Mixology.nz wasnt blocked last I checked but other sites are, this is all changing so quickly.
Had a Quick Look, there’s a Geekvape subohm tank on there. I’m sure there will be more (every time I look the list is longer) but we’ll never know unless we join the pharmacies/online providers, given advertising is banned.
If you do need gear, this is a screenshot of the list of pharmacies so far…

Larkful_Dodger from Aussie Vapers at reddit:
No your mods/tanks/pods will not have any colour or variants thereof.
No, you cannot have more than one flavour of tobacco, mint or menthol added to a liquid (yes, we think you’re stupid and don’t realise we’re trying to shut down any legal vape industry in this country) /s.
Yes, we want the black market to continue to flourish! /s.
Sounds like the morons just want to see the days of people blowing up their faces with homemade mechs and then saying “See? People are getting hurt and it’s all because of vaping!”
Hypocrites.
I’d put money on something like that happening and someone getting poisoned or worse by buying a black market disposable with something bad in it. Also I can imagine a complete DIY novice having a crack at mixing and using something that is dangerous.
Alll these things and more would be blamed on vaping and not the idiotic decisions that prompted them.
I’ve already seen someone saying they didn’t like their pod flavour from the pharmacy & someone else saying “add some peppermint oil”. They got called out but the one who suggested the oil argued that “some vape juice has oils”.
More of this will happen.
I have seen some Lorann products for sale in a baking section of a shop & you can guarantee someone will buy this & use it without checking which ones are ok to vape.
