From a tin hat point of view I’m wondering if Butler has a personal interest in VE and has instructed the authorities to put the boot right into the business.
Remember “The twat from Canberra” comments that Mo made that were plastered all over different media outlets?
The internet itself seems ok for now but it’s early days I suppose. Obviously all specialised vape businesses no longer exist so they don’t have websites anyway and it appears that a lot of the concentrate companies are slowing being squeezed out.
Going from @bede1 post I would imagine it’s possible that any site (including this one) could be blocked to Australians in the future. Worrying times and all so unnecessary.
And yes we are talking about Australia which is supposedly a democracy. Our very national anthem states “ We are young and free”.
VENZ is supplying some products to the pharmacies, so it seems more aimed at punishing them for saying they would continue to ship to Australia.
Most NZ vendors won’t ship to Australia at all now, so I think disrupting access to the VENZ website probably had the desired effect. Being able to access sites using a VPN doesn’t help if they won’t ship to Australia anyway.
I was in Europe when all this kicked in, first I heard was from an Austrian in a vape shop.
By the time I got back almost everything is gone, got some flavours out of Base drop.
Couldnt find coils anywhere much, got an order into Aliexpress which shows sent. Same product now says not available in your country.
Mixology.nz wasnt blocked last I checked but other sites are, this is all changing so quickly.
Had a Quick Look, there’s a Geekvape subohm tank on there. I’m sure there will be more (every time I look the list is longer) but we’ll never know unless we join the pharmacies/online providers, given advertising is banned.
If you do need gear, this is a screenshot of the list of pharmacies so far…
