I go to the following website often, just to look at things (in the mid-west I donāt have many if any earthquakesā¦ everā¦) First screen shot is a wide area, second is if I zoom inā¦ for the last 24 hours, this area is really activeā¦

Yeah, this area is always active. The little roller this morning was somewhat long but not very intense. The dogs snored through the whole thing.

I am 115 miles from Ridgecrest so feel for what they went through there. Luckily I have not heard any reports of deaths or much damage though. It was a rolling earthquake though, felt like you were riding a wave. I have been in earthquakes that felt like a giant picked up the building and was shaking it, those are when I do my best Forrest impression

Off topic here. Donāt know where in the Midwest you are but Illinois is a hot bed for quakes. Not large but they happen quite often.
