I didnt create this to be slandered i just said I got sick now im better. Your all entitled to your own opinion but to slander me because I have seen ppl I know die from covid and I just made my own decision its my own opinion im not here telling ppl to get it or not to. Alot are going off for really no reason.

Not telling anyone to get the shot here, just saying I got mine…your sounding kinda silly going off about this to the extent you are. My sister is a icu nurse and she’s not taking care of imaginary ppl dying from a made up thing. So the government can give us alien blood vaccine or whatever conspiracy that’s about. She can’t get a day off because of a imaginary made up thing? Also ive seen friends die from this but they died because of imaginary disease?

I’m sorry if you feel slandered, that was not my intention. I just want people to be a bit more critical about an untested vaccine with totally unpredictable long term effects.
I hope it works and protects you, my whole family has been vaccinated so I have to hope it’s all going to be fine. Just accept that it may not be all honky dory and that people are concerned about it not working or worse. As @Josephine_van_Rijn mentioned, the results of trials with similar vaccines were very concerning.

I am not thrilled either about getting shots i know nothing about but it really seems like alot of ppl are dying because of this whatever it is and I just don’t want to be a statistic. It scares the hell out of me. And ppl are getting younger and younger who are dying and alot of ppl like me with lung issues have no chance. I figured it is my best option besides dying in a hospital with no family allowed to see me thats what ppl are dealing with. It is sad. I couldn’t imagine being so alone with no one even allowed to see me. Ive heard nurses stories about patients asking them to hold their hands while they pass away because no family was allowed to be there. .Its really fucked up.

@ladycrooks I actually went back, and read this entire thread, and found TWO THINGS:
- No one said anything about your decision in getting the vaccine.
- No one used the words “made up”, “fake”, etc.
Most of the posts here, expressed concern, for you, and your reaction to the second shot. Obviously, then it spurred into a discussion about people’s reasoning (like yours) in getting vaccinated, vs. not getting vaccinated. It had NO bearing or reference to your decision, just to be clear.
People DO seem to have fallen into TWO clearly defined camps here, regardless.
I personally have large circles of friends, co-workers, clients, and know of no one personally that has died from COVID. I DO however have a brother in law who contracted it, and did get fairly sick. He has recovered thankfully.
What I see happen time, and time again, including in this (your) thread, are people who take things to the extremes, or absolutes, and THAT is where the problem(s) come in.
What do I mean ?
If someone is against getting the vaccine for (fill in the blank) reasons, one can not assume they think COVID is fake, made up, etc. Likewise, if someone DOES decide to get the vaccine, one cannot assume that THAT person believes EVERYTHING that the media, faucci, and the WHO have presented to the public, again, you cannot.
Since you shared your personal anecdote, I will as well. I have a close friend who is in the medical field, and near the beginning of the pandemic, he was delivering med supplies to multiple hospitals in California. For many it can be hard to remember way back to near after the beginning and how things were being presented to the public, but I do. We were being told, and shown all of the TENTS that were being constructed at hospitals because of the extreme infection rate(s). Remember in NY where all we heard about were ventilators ? I do. STAGGERING infection rate numbers, fatality numbers were being thrown about. My friend after having delivered med supplies to multiple hospitals, and seeing the constructed tents, started taking video of what was really going on. He had multiple videos of empty tents, nearly empty waiting rooms, etc. Now this was in DIRECT conflict to what was being thrown about by ALL of the media.
Doesn’t mean COVID was fake, unreal, etc., but it DID start to cause many of us to QUESTION exactly what was going on, the real severity level, and much more, that’s all.
We don’t live in a world of absolutes. People did catch COVID, people did die from it, and people who had existing medical issues WERE far more at risk. The elderly, especially those in assisted living homes were VERY much at risk (I won’t talk about what happened in NY).
Again I stress, I don’t think anyone here is stating COVID wasn’t real, but questioning the real threat level. I’m surprised, but after talking to my BIL who contracted it, and hearing how sick he was, did absolutely nothing to motivate me to get the vaccine.
I’ve been hearing MUCH talk about “What happened to MY body, MY choice”, in many circles, and that seems like a valid argument, as that does seem to start to reveal some serious hypocracy. NONE of this has to do with the INDIVIDUAL, including you, and/or YOUR decision to get the vaccine. Your reasons are your own, and it IS your choice.
As more becomes clearly available as far as actual data, including the over reporting of cases and causation, the actual infection rate, and morbidity rate(s) seem to be far lower than we were told originally. We could argue endlessly as to the cause or reasons for that, but maybe we shouldn’t.
Now we move into the vaccine and the risks part of the discussion. Again, this has NOTHING to do with YOUR choice, or anyone elses choice to get vaccinated, or NOT to. More and more facts are coming out, almost daily about many of the unforseen consequences of the vaccine, unexpected results, and side effects. No amount of government ad campaigns, or big tech censorship can stop that. Have you, or anyone else been paying attention to what Facebook/Twitter’Google have chosen to censor, and what they haven’t ?? Pretty interesting, as neither of the three are in the medical profession, nor would I trust in any way, shape, or form, in shaping my medical decisions, but they HAVE injected themselves into that process for a LOT of people.
Look @ladycrooks, ELR, etc., if we can’t have an ADULT conversation about this stuff, then all is lost. If you go back and RE-read this entire thread, you’ll see, even those who are opposed to the vaccine, never attacked anyone for feeling different. What you HAVE SEEN is people presenting THEIR reasoning for NOT getting the vaccine, it’s as simple as that. Not criticizing anyone who has, and we need to stay focused on that.

@ladycrooks I hope you continue to improve after your 2nd dose, and you have no further ill effects. For the rest of you, it’s on YOU, to do YOUR own research, and decide for YOURselves.

I totally understand where your fear is coming from and that it is a topic with the potential to split up families over a difference of opinion. So please don’t think I’m trying to make your fear sound ridiculous or something.
What concerns me a lot though is that all of a sudden a virus like corona must be killed with all our combined efforts and seemingly at all cost. Why is that so important suddenly.
If you compare the numbers (even if you take the highest numbers you can find of people who died of Covid) with the numbers of let’s say people who died from prescription medication (not opiates), people who died from dire circumstances, from malnutricion, from too much of this or not enough of the other then it makes me wonder where all this desire to save everyone comes from.
The same people who try to push untested vaccines onto everyone and make the ones who don’t trust the thing feel like they deliberatley try to endanger others have not given a single sh*t on all the victims of “modern mental health care” just to mention one area where hundrets of thousands of people have to suffer because the cure for their condition doesn’t make a lot of money.
So no offence, I’m as scared as you are about the whole thing but I’m trying not to go a direction because everybody else seems to think that’s right.

Ironically my wife has more than a few medical conditions, albeit none super severe, but she’s REALLY stuck RIGHT in the middle on this one.

I’m glad you’re over the worst part, and due to my personal situation at the home, completely understand your dilemma and fear. My wife is in the same boat.

Fair enough. Like no one gives a shit about india on a good day but now they’re all over the news and how other countries can help them or are I guess with oxygen and other medicine now that I guess something like 200,000 ppl were dying a day there due to covid. How that many ppl reside in 1 County to have that many ppl die a day for weeks idk but those are big numbers. I really hope thats still not going on there. Ive stopped watching the news every day because its messing my head up. Theyre whole country seems the worst rn to say.

The population of India is over 1.38 billion (yes, BILLION) people. 200,000 is a very small percentage when you look at the bigger picture.
To put things in perspective, India literally has 1 billion more people than the United States has (331 MILLION).

My younger brother (50), who is a huntin’, shootin’, fishin’ type and is as fit as a Butcher’s dog, had a minor stroke 2 days after his first dose of the Astra Zenica!! His Consultant ‘assured’ him that it was unlikely due to the vaccine!! Really??. Not a chance in hell either myself or my wife will EVER take their poison. They can mandate it all they want; they can restrict us all they want, it simply isn’t ever happening. The ease with which these snake oil salesmen have conned everyone into taking an untested poison is frightening.

Real sorry to hear about your brother man.
What happened to him is the thing i wanted to point out in my initial post and the truth in the matter is that your brother is not the only one shit has happened to after taking these shots. It is happening all over the globe to be honest. In Germany the so called vaccine from one company induced cerebral venous thrombosis in people and despite that they kept on pushing people to take that shit.
I think it is horrendous what is happening all over right now and i am still convinced that the so called vaccine is worse for people that are taking it than the disease itself. But as always everyone needs to decide for themselves whether to take the vaccine or not.
Clearly i won’t go anywhere near that magical cure for Covid until it is properly tested and showing little to no side effects at all, if i even at that point take it is to be determined. Most likely is that i never will.

One of the BIGGEST problems, is the censorship that is, and has been occurring by Big Tech. Yeah, yeah, black helicopters, and tin foil hats, hehe, I know, BUT, it’s real. “They” have collectively “decided” FOR us, what we should read, and not read, see or not see. The growing information IS out there, but you just won’t find it on the “mainstream” (big tech controlled) media. For better or worse.

I appreciate your constant referral to facts without stating any opinion.
Unfortunately facts are disguised often by agendas and many, meaning no insult as we all have areas of expertise, don’t understand technical or scientific papers.
I gave up discussing this when people started stating they were going to be xx% immune because they had 1 jab or 2. After blank stares and arguments I realised it just doesn’t matter if they understand. I do, and shouting at the world like a lunatic changes nothing.
Back to analogising religion, “education” by force or coercion is not only disingenuous on behalf of the “educator” but seldom effective for lasting meaningful change.

Most sportscasters will say they have won 1 in their last 4, it’s dramatic adding jeopardy. Others may argue that recent form is the reason they only go back 4. Why not 5, or stopping at 2/3. What is recent. What if they play 1 match every month. What if they play 3 a day? What if this whole sample group of 10 is meaningless as the season consists of 1000 what if those 10 span 3 years and consist of two entire team changes?
