I literally broke my leg in 4 places

I can only echo what @Cary1 and @Lostmarbles has already said especially about you taking it easy so please don’t do anything rash or you could do yourself far more harm than good and could do even more damage to yourself. Nice to hear that your boyfriend is doing some mixing for you especially when you said that he doesn’t even vape, that’s an admirable thing to do in my eyes, maybe when you feel up to it you might get some inspiration to create some recipes that he can mix up for you to try.

Wow. That looks pretty horrible. I hope you recover quickly. Hands off the opiates!

Yep, excessive sleep after a major injury is normal.

Basically your body wants to get on with repairing without you wasting energy. Being a sleep and lightly reacting to stimuli is a much lower drain of resources than being awake and having to process all potential risks.

Oh, the leg is looking a tad less like an zombie or junkie’s now. I cannot see your nails to comment on.

Omg well turns out my leg shouldn’t be swollen at all! I now have an infection from the surgery! Back to the frigging hospital I go…whatever I did to deserve this I am so sorry for. This is torture

Actually it will swell. I had two operations on my arm. The first didnt swell too much after but the second was a full transposition of the ulnar nerve and carpel tunnel and my arm was swollen for about a week after. You need to ice it to help the inflammation from surgery. I was icing my arm and hand up 5x a day. Now my situation was nowhere near as bad as yours but you need to ice the hell out of it

Oh wow, so sorry to hear what you went through and are still going through. Those pics, I may never take a shower again…scary.

Hoping you have a quick recovery and get back to mixing soon fam

So sorry this is post-surgery issue is happening, but glad you checked with your doc and are addressing it. You probably did nothing to “deserve this”. Sometimes sh*t just happens. Hope they find and correct the cause so you can continue to move forward with your recovery. Remember, sometimes the shapes and colors of bruises can look so cool…and they are temporary !!

Nope @Psycho_316 is 100% right now I feel like a super tool! I dragged my poor bf out of work took me all the way half hr drive to the same hospital all because my nurse know it all wannabe doctor got in my head false alarm everyone sorry I was in a frenzy thinking the worst when really it is what is supposed to happen. Swelling and more pain. So let’s hand it to my awesome sis who hasn’t even physically seen my injury cuz she’s 3 provinces away scaring the SHIT out of little sister. And there was a 5 hour wait in the emergency room. To boot. So im just gonna stop freaking out and first of all stop putting damn weight on that leg which is hard as hell . But I’m getting the hang of being “hop a long” is my new nickname around here. Lol!

Also I’ve been reading about compound fracture of the tibea which is what I have managed to do. It could be 4 to 6 months before I am able to work again . I’m going to need physiotherapy I don’t even know what.,
.that is???‽?

“the treatment of disease, injury, or deformity by physical methods such as massage, heat treatment, and exercise rather than by drugs or surgery.”
First I’ve heard of it, but that’s no surprise.

You have heard of it before! It’s the medical terminology for physical therapy.
