I’m going with a different brand to see what happens, a trueweigh element, can’t go any worse than what I’ve been dealing with.
If this one is reliable then I guess I skip Amazon and order directly from their site.

Your scale looks different than ours. The numbers are different and the g for grams is different. Either they changed manufacturers or you got sent a knockoff.

I purchased the same exact one from elite trends back in 2020, it was 28 bucks, no problems but I never plugged it into 110v power. Also my Mode button is spelled correctly…

I just realized I purchased mine from that seller too. Back in 2024. Wow. Wth.
I’m reading more about this, apparently Amazon listings can be hijacked.

Oh, I am pissed. It’s just rediculous!!! Apparently, people can totally hijacked entire Amazon listings and the store name and just sell whatever the hell they want. What a joke!!! You figure selling would be more secure than that!!!
I’m sorry Kev that this happened to you. Just so infuriating. Thank you though, you kinda took one for the team. Without you buying this inferior POS any of us could have went out and bought another one of these scales and would have been duped. You helped expose this scammer.

this is a singular case
give some benefit of doubt until we know more
seems like they may have 2 versions of the scale
the original and an amaZon version with QC issues and maybe some cheaper components
definitely slimey but thats my speculation
