It definitely leans towards candy. But it’s got a lot of punch and pop. I don’t really go higher than 2% with it.
I think SSA Sweet leans a little more natural, but I don’t have that one so I’m no good for a comparison

I checked again and saw Brand: Good Earth Beauty and then Brand: Medicine Flower. Maybe because it was late at night I mistook it for a shop because GEB has a shop. I’m sorry if I mislead you but I could swear I saw a shop. Maybe I was dreaming by then, lol.

Mike’s answer is on the money. DW is more candied and thicker. SW leans more toward natural. Not sure if the watermelon element in both aromas is the same. They’re both good, and they both have their place in mixes. One note to add, they work wonderfully together. I like 2.5 DW and 2 SW. Add some super sweet and it creates a total watermelon syrup vibe.

@Plunderdrum what is the flavor profile of Exotic? There aren’t any notes on it. And, tbh, I haven’t seen it.

Not to butt in, but I noticed it on Bull City Flavors.
Here’s the description:

Exotic Flavor blends juicy pineapple with mango and apricot sweetness, enhanced by orange and kiwano juice. This concentrate brings vibrant tropical character to beverages, desserts, and confections.

I’m on my third variant of this mix, and decided to go with a natural(ish) watermelon profile. My top, body, and finish notes are all where I want them to be, but it doesn’t have the saturation i want.

Are there any flavors I could use to boost the watermelon more? Or do I need to use more flavor %?

Purilum can be pushed as high as 10% IMO, but then I would need to add more cactus and it would mess up the flavor.
JF can be pushed to 4%, but then it gets rindy and a bit harsh.
SSA can be pushed a bit, but I found any higher than 3% and I get a weird aftertaste that I don’t like, and haven’t been able to cover up.

Here’s the recipe for reference. It’s still a WIP, hence the picture and not a finished post.

I always add a low percentage of raspberry to my watermelon mixes. Maybe start 0.3, I tend to reach for premium raspberry.

That’s a good idea @Letitia, for some reason I’m stuck in the Strawberry loop.

Im going to have to try to add cucumber, i like cucumber with honeydew but more often i pair apples with watermelon mixes

Done something a little different this time thought id make a pod recipe just to add a little more variety to the mixalong.
So heres my entry -

I may still enter a normal/DL/sub ohm recipe to go along side it?
Hope everyones good & well, love y’all.

Have you tried FA pear? Probably one of my most used ingredients tbh, i use it anywhere i need ā€œfleshyā€ or ā€œjuicyā€ aspects in fruity recipes. If its used low it just adds a nice juicy mouthfeel without actually tasting any pear flavour, just keep it around 0.75 - 1% & its a really useful tool in almost any fruit recipe.

Edit - as for actually boosting the watermelon ā€œflavourā€, aside from adding another watermelon the only other thing would be pushing the ones you’re already using, the ultimate & purilum for example, i think they could be pushed quite a bit higher, i havent tried ult wm but the ultimates i have tried are all really good but pretty weak (like 4-6% range), i think the SSA could go a tad higher too (2.5-3% maybe?).
So if i were to be given the recipe & asked to try boost the wm more, i would probably first try add an extra 1% to both pur & jf wm’s + an extra 0.5% ssa + 0.75-1% FA pear & see how it goes from there?
