I just used 2 pieces of printer paper. Probably bleached but I didn’t notice any taste. I only used it so I didn’t burn the cotton with the iron.
I’m sure there’s a better way to do it but it’s what I had on hand.

I think I ordered a bit of each from 3F and Fasttech. A bit of each meaning RBAs and SMRT coil stuff. The RBAs are only 6/7 bucks or whatever so I figured get a few. Anyways, my 3F order cleared customs at JFK(?) a couple days ago. I know there’s a JFK airport but most of my orders go through customs in California or Illinois. In that order I only got a couple of the single coil RBAs. I also got some more Coilturd styled RDAs which are a total fricken bargain for under ten bucks. I’ll post some photos and give you my impressions when I get them.

Yeah this was a great post ! not only did I order the SMRT coil like we talked about… but you got me thinking… When I’ve been rebuilding the V8 baby beast (actually geek vape new super mesh .2Ω) coils, I’ve been doing it all wrong.
I was using a chisel to separate it. And I realize … well I have a million tools (being an automotive tech… I’m sure I can find something better.
Turns out a 13 mm 12-pt socket fits perfectly to hold the outer shell and a 7 mm ¼" socket fits perfectly on the inside and you can press it right out or 1 tap it with a mallet… All sorts of good stuff from this post!

Sounds great. My friend is planning to get his Big Baby sent out to me maybe tomorrow. Other friend with the V8 Baby still looking for it, lol. He’s in the process of moving. Meanwhile I’m going to go ahead and order from FT. My other China vendor is on pre-order right now.

No, the Wotofo cotton strips taste fine. I’ve been using the PnP kit. Too bad there weren’t generic ones that were free of funny tastes.

The good thing about the Big Baby is it comes with its own RBA when purchased by itself. If you’re not interested in that older dual coil RBA, the TFV9 is a good option. The top part stays closed better since you need to lift up on it. Otherwise Vaporesso’s NRG-S is fairly new and holds a lot of liquid.

Even though my tracking said “Arriving late”, I still got it today. Weird, but whatever. These are exactly what I thought they were. They’re the same size as a baby beast coil made for single coils. I imagined they’d be small and they are. It’s kind of like coils in a way. Magnified photos are different from actuality. It’s made for smaller coils. The holes for the wires are flat and small. I got 3x27/42ga to barely fit in there. Something like 2x28/38 would be safe to fit. They used Phillips heads for tightening the coils. That sucks! I can see these stripping out. I’ll see if I have any grub screws to replace those.
I haven’t used it yet but probably will later tonight. I’ll post some photos below.
