Okay, now we're talking. (I think?) Wotofo nexMINI stuff

What’s your washing method? I seldom use drop in coils but might in the future and am curious.

Personally with the old coil style coils i could tell cuz it would get a dry hit or burnt hit… with the mesh. it’s almost like they don’t even look dirty & depending on what kind of juice it is…it looks clean, but no flavor.
I use mostly you well but I’ve started to use the smock or Cerberus coils again. UWell is PnP crown 3 and 5 so I just flip it upside down and pull it right out rinse it with the sink sprayer cold water usually so it doesn’t stain the cotton. Put my finger over the end hole and wrap paper towel around and just give it a couple good blows :joy: haha. the key is to make sure to blow it out good.

Imo a vapor’s best friend, is been a inflatable mattress blower .
I use it all the time so much that when it broke , I bought a new one.
Works great to dry things… I’m not a big fan of waiting for things to dry.
BTW I’ve tried boiling it or putting it in alcohol I don’t find any difference I have a little scrub brush for tubing none of it really works once it’s gone it’s gone other than taking it up apart heating up the metal like you would with an RBA that’s too much work

That and a spray bottle with purified water .
zero water filter works fantastic! noticeable difference with the water taste.
Sometimes I actually take that little squeeze bottle to the left of the mattress blower pictured and put it right in the end of the coil. hold my finger over the other end and blast it right through.
dry it out ,pop it back in …it’s like new (for a few days)

It’s funny I used to swear by the crown 3 tank with the mesh or even the kanthal coil when I was using vape wild. my ADV pinkle twinkle AKA last straw .
But ever since I’ve been diying it’s almost like the flavors are too intense in the Uwell tanks.
And the Cerberus and tfv8 have become my go-to maybe it’s just my taste I found that I’m not that great at DIY e-liquid LOL I put way too much flavor in it and then I try to balance it I have like 800 bottles of made fluid That’s Just junk oh well practice practice practice!

What works sometimes is to scratch at the cotton thru the holes in the side of the coil. It opens the cotton to absorb better because opens the pore’s of the cotton.

I think I made a thread about that. I use a small drill bit and twirl it back and forth with my fingers. It cuts through a few layers of the cotton. After each hit it bubbles immediately through the little hole I created.

Yeah they make really flavorful coils. My favorite mid range tank is the Nunchaku. The .2Ω mesh coils for it are fantastic.

I’ve had lots of the Crowns and Val tanks. The old SE1 was one of my favs.

I still use the original Uwell Crown Mini RTA with the RBA deck, I remember that the factory coils for it gave out really good flavour and they lasted much longer than those Smok coils used to. Uwell made some quality gear that was solid and built to last so I’m glad to hear that they still are.

Yes rough it up totally stuff to do that with the original smok coils the pin trick

Right! I have the 1st Nunchaku … I can get coils but I can’t find a glass for it that will ship to MA… Great tank, crappy glass. nunchaku stick mod right now in my pocket, in a nebo flashlight holster

Try these guys. I usually buy my replacements thru them, They’re in China so it will take a minute to get, but they’ve always been reliable.

If you say they’re reliable then that’s cool I’ll check it out last time I bought from vape sourcing and I forget what the other company was in China I ended up with fake Uwell (yellow.4 ohm for crown III)
They were such bad fakes too I told the guy I was going to report him and he credited my account LOL they weren’t even the right color yellow. Hence why they have a security number on there to authenticate it’s always good to check that if you think , thank you for the tip I stocked up a long time ago from element faith and paid the Massachusetts excise tax I bought like 10 packs of coils for the crown three and five and the caliburn g

Eightvape had Nunchaku and Crown 3 coils for 2.99 a pack a while back. I forget when it was but it was before the big “Vape mail ban” scare. They had other coils for a buck a pack. I went a bit nuts and still have all of those coils. I got three different kinds for the Crown 3. I tried one of the mesh ones and it was pretty good. The Nunchaku mesh coils are fantastic though.

IF I didnt have sooooo many other tank mod combos goin on i def be searching for the Nuchaku 1 tank glass.
DIY has almost gone from a hobby to an irritant…well i guess thats extreme. i’m sooo OCD and i ve been trying to re-create Vape Wilds juice that its just consumed me. ive found myself spending most of my days lately changing cleaning charging mixing …blah blah blah anywho! sry so yeah Nunchaku is great hahaha!

yeah i used to be ONLY .4 Kanthal…then i tried the .23 (more like .18) mesh and found they just last longer than the coil. i m NOT a fan of the SS coils they made. i think UWELL doesnt even like those coils.
On A Side note on the SMRT’s yesterday I found if i lose a strip or two of cotton it seems to last longer, there is almost too much cotton.
and then like another poster said, rough up the cotton or poke a hole.
I really am pleased with those though

Haven’t had a chance to read through this yet but is there a consensus on which mesh is the best? I finally built my SMRT baby beast coil with the Chill mesh, popped it into my Marvec Priest AIO and wow, the flavor is excellent so far.

Two are low wattage like max 35W and ones for about 50W. I don’t vape low wattage so I use the higher wattage one. I’ve only used it a couple times, but the flavor was good.

Same. I was impressed with the whole procedure and the quality of vape.

Totally agree :+1:. Popped one in a older Cerberus tank and the flavor rocks. it’s about 2/3 of the size of the C series’ coils and am quite impressed.

@mjag I think Chill ( larger holes ) seem to be my favorite. I’m a fan of uwell crown mesh… They last forever .
SMRT about the same size holes.
honeycomb style. The turbo (medium) are my 2nd.
The extreme (small holes) IMO get gunked up really quickly.
I use sucralose and a lot of fruit/cotton candy flavors.
I bought 5 boxes for $25, waited 2 mths but it was totally worth the wait.
You get 5 blanks and you can make 30 total.
I’ve even taken the mesh out heated it up cleaned it and reused it & it’s totally fine.
