Real Flavors Super Concentrates Tasting Notes (Part 1)

Are all the betas being kept? Or is there a list somewhere?

If memory serves me right yes they are. BUT There were changes made to the formula on several of them before release and name changes of a few of them also.

I am not sure merging them is the best idea for the ones that the formula was changed as they will not actually be the same flavor.

@Walt_RealFlavors posted about it someplace so maybe he could help on this one.

All the betas did go live, Butterfinger and Twinkie did change names.

Deep fried cookies and cream = deep fried Oreo?

Any heads up on the Easter sale? Currently have 22 flavors in my cart and it is continuing to grow. Also, and chance the Black Label FV will be ready in time for Easter?

Yes sir!

The Easter sale is a lot of work, I am trying to get it live, but first I want to make sure all out VG blends are converted to SC first.

It looks like Black Label FV will not be back in stock soon. I did a sample this morning and it may need a month more.

Appreciate all the hard work you put into it. I will just wait on the Black Label. Thanks Walt!

After weeks of reading/researching I am ready to take the plunge into dyi. For me quality/flavour comes first and I like what I’ve been reading here about Real Flavors. First steps are to conquer single flavours while dabbling in duo flavours. Would you recommend the SC of Real Flavors as product for new DYIers? Math is not an issue for me, but dealing with such low percentages in 10-20 ml testers I’m thinking a good quality scale is a must. Thxs

Based on the fact that some RF SC flavours are tasty alone, you can’t get much easier.

Lots of folks on this board with more experience mixing these flavours than I, but the fact that I mixed a juice with 2% Deep Fried Cookies and Cream (as an example) that tastes great right out of the gate is a good thing as most of my DIY liquids are 4-6 flavours.

This seems to be a very popular choice for scales and I use them also

If I had to do it over again I would lean more towards RF, MF, FA and some of the premium lines.

I’m really loving the low percentages for high rewards. All I can recommend is continue to read and ask questions.

This is part of the reason I do 20ml testers instead of 10ml testers. Sometimes if a recipe calls for 0.25% of a flavor you are looking at .05 grams of concentrate which is about 2 drops out of a cheap pipette.

but did they all stay the exactly the same

Some were tweak bit, more EM to spiced rum.

Some tweaks were made to FT2, CR2, and BP2 to simmer down the bakery parts.

All the rest are the same.

i wish i would have started with " premium flavors " opposed to the big 3

I think you also said that Blueberry Pastry had more of a pastry note added but my memory may be wrong.

YES sorry… I forgot about that. More pastry and frosting added.

This ^

I started to merge them and then stopped as i remembered Walt mentioning this. Thanks for the reminder @woftam i had forgotten that i need to ask Walt for specifics so that i can get the changes made, if any.

EDIT: Now that i see the last few posts i reckon i dont need to ask, hehe. What do you all think, should we merge them or leave them as (BETA).

I personally would suggest you leave any that changed as beta.
