Not sure if I mentioned it, but I made a version with VS in it and I preferred my Yogurt/VCE version better. Which further validated my thought process as I was making it for what I thought I would like best while also doing the impossible, clone something I never tried. There will always be a part of me building to my pallet if I never had the juice and only a profile to go after. And even if I have in most cases(unless someone doesn’t like what I consider an improvement and wants a 1:1).
Well, at least 3 people have the original juice so the artwork is just a piece to reflect on in the culmination of our work process.
unfortunately, one of them is an absolute idiot!..that would be me! lol
Well I guess that’s my point. In everyone’s tasting notes, no one is mentioning a smoothie. But either a person, or a computer, decided to put a smoothie in the artwork. It’s just hard with AI art to know what is intentional. But that’s probably a post for another thread.
FA Kiwi is like a hybrid of apple and pear so I can see why you thought that but I just think it’s the Fuji reacting with the ‘tropical’ and everything else.
I also preferred some of the “darker/earlier” variations to the original tbh. I also think they were much closer to the artwork than the original black vine is.
The yogurt + vce combo does look like it would be a fantastic addition in place of the VS, probably better even? i am pretty sure i can taste vanilla swirl in the original though?
Take away the fact that we are trying to clone an eliquid, & judge the recipes as recipes & not just attempts at a clone, there has been some fantastic recipes born from this little “project”.
I have enjoyed literally every version of this i have made so far (at least 20+ recipes), boosting the dark fruits & being lighter with the “tropicals” turns this recipe into something completely different.
Im almost certain it has fa forest fruit in it, id say no lower than 4% (i think 5% feels about right?)
The grape im actually not picking up even at the 2.5%, not any actual “grape” flavour anyway? I think this specific grape was utilized for the stevia content?
With the tropicals toned down thats when the grape kreeps in but i really dont detect any actual grape flavour from both mine & rochfords?
Im thinking the dragonfruit + cactus is what pulls the grape back down, then the vanilla swirls “muting properties” help tame the grape?
@SpeedeeVape glad you’re ok buddy, just wanted to make sure you know we are still working on it
. This heat has been killer though.

I think this picture @NIL8URBUDZ posted in comment #159, better displays what the black vine actually tastes like, its like a wierd explosion of flavours but its not lile a messy explosion, more like a controlled/intentional explosion of flavours its really wierd but it just works so well.
The original artwork for the black vine i think our first variations were closer to what that would actually taste like? for something called “the black vine” & with artwork like that you would not expect the bright tropical bite to be in there, just looking at the artwork you would expect, like you say, a kind of dark fruit smoothie, which our first itterations were more geared towards that artwork.
These latest versions are pretty damn close to the original though & they will give you a good idea on what the black vine actually tastes like.
Edit - @Dj35 this may sound wierd but if you get the original bottle & suck on the tip of the bottle a few times like you are about to stick the end of the nozzle to your lips or tongue, then rub your tongue across the roof of your mouth to taste all the little nuances, do you get that “jackfruity” or “juicy fruit gum” kinda vibe from it right at the end? I still keep getting it pop up every now & then but, i honestly think that is like nilbur said, just the reaction/outcome from the fuji+dragon+cactus?
With the inw dragonfruit + cactus i think even at that, the recipe would still be amazing & close to the original

No no, thanks for checking in on me, just been busy with life and much like you, dying with this heat! it’s absolutely nuts! I do check in on the thread quite regular and can see everyones been busy having fun with this, it’s brilliant. I know these things can take a considerable amount of time to flesh out and it’s great to see the back and fourths between you guys, and making progress where I just got so stuck, I made an embarrasing amount of samples trying to suss this out and just happy to see you guys coming together and enjoying making a great profile for all to enjoy. every now and then behind the scenes I’ll stick together what you share and try and report my opinions in the best way I know how. ![]()
Really wish I could afford to send out bottles of the og to our american friends, just so expensive to get anything across the pond.
With the artwork, I was starting to run out of ideas and started to think hypothetically and trying to make it like it looks i guess, not really considering the tropical side of things per se, though, I was imagining that the secrets lay within that purple…goop lol meaning anything that wasn’t pictured around it, was not beyond the realms of possibilty.
I am so glad I’m not the only one who does stuff like this, I just need more years of experience with the myriad of different flavours to successfully make better conclusions about what I am experiencing.
Yes, definitely gonna try this.
Edit: Just realised, don’t have purilums DF, only have TPA, INW and FA DF, have INW Cactus aswell.
I’m curious if ya tried a version like mine with .5-1% FA DF in it?
No I haven’t, but i’ll try it
Redited my comment because I thought you mention using the two together, but you didn’t.
Yeah I would for sure try it without the cactus first. I think it’s just that or possible mangosteen and the cactus isn’t needed. I’d start low like .5% and work up if needed.
Little update, I don’t even notice going down a half % on the FA BC and .05% on the BB in my Midnight Vine mix. It’s still plenty of BC with all that FF support. This stuff is pretty ![]()
Edit* I’m taking 11ml of it and adding .25% FA DF to go with the INW just for science.
I asked AI
What input was used to instruct ai to create this picture?

This picture was created using artificial intelligence generation software.Digital watermark fingerprints embedded within the image data definitively reveal that this is an AI-generated or AI-modified graphic rather than a traditional photograph.Visual Elements Contained in the ImageWhile the image is an AI generation, it depicts a highly styled still-life composition featuring:The Main Subject: A glass mason jar overflowing with a thick, purple fruit smoothie that is spilling dramatically down the front and pooling on the surface below. The Background Elements: The jar is closely surrounded by a rustic arrangement of fresh fruits, including green and black grapes, apples, and assorted dark berries. The Style & Setting: The arrangement sits on a distressed wooden table. The overall image features a dark, moody vignette aesthetic with a heavily textured, paint-splattered border effect applied to the edges.

3 sitesWhile this image was actually created through traditional studio food photography rather than AI generation, you can achieve this exact style using AI tools like Midjourney, DALL-E, or Stable Diffusion.
To instruct an AI model to generate a picture identical to this one, a highly descriptive prompt broken down by subject, composition, lighting, and texture is required.
The AI Prompt FormulaTo get this exact image, you would use a text prompt like this:"
Dark and moody food photography of a rustic scene. A central glass mason jar filled to the brim with a thick, deep purple blackberry and grape smoothie. The thick smoothie is cascading down the front of the jar, creating a smooth dripping spill that pools beautifully at the wooden base. The jar is tightly surrounded by clusters of fresh green grapes, dark purple grapes, a few red apples, and scattered blackberries on a weathered, rough wooden table. Chiaroscuro directional side lighting with deep, heavy dramatic shadows. Desaturated color grading with rich purples and greens. A stylized, dark vintage grunge border vignette, cinematic, photorealistic, 8k resolution."
yeah, that part weirded me out. ![]()
Yeah, I noticed that, pretty bad oversight. Seems to have a parasitic grape that’s dug in like an Alabama tick! ![]()
Had a good sleep and tried to look at it from a different perspective. I’ve mixed @RicklePick-Eddie1z 's amended version with only (fa) “BC* and with (inw) “Df” and it’s the closest so far.
Have been sucking the plastic insert like a dummy and I get a slight bubblegum which suggests"jackfruit” or an interaction between flavour components.
My “concord grape” is new and hasn’t been s,f,t’d, so I’ve been tasting it and it has a slight bubblegum vibe. I’m thinking the interaction between"grape", “Df” and
“cactus” is causing the flavour. I’m getting it in the amended mix also.
It’s definitely"vanilla swirl " in the OG but I like the "yogurt " and vanilla version better.
The swirl seems to be muting the grape so as not to make it as prominent as it would be. The grapes definitely contributing to the mystery flavour.
The person who mixed “Black vine” understands his flavours well and knows how they interact and I’m enjoying it a little more everyday.
When you have the (inw) “Df” you will taste how well it fits in and interacts.
I thought it was a worm hole. ![]()
