Utter noob in need of asssitance

why do you believe this ??? i always assumed it was what it meant if a flave total was 15% and the nic was the right base and mg it would be 85vg 15pg , im just wondering what or where is there any proof to this claim ??

Correct. Most reputable juice companies use the term Max VG to state that the only PG added is from Flavorings and Nicotine. I would imagine that there might be some sketchy companies that don’t abide by this rule.

ya we have a couple local companies still i. the game and they do MAX VG bc that what they are doing weather its 80 vg or 65vg its the max amount that it can be ty for your opinion and thought

On the ELR calculator max VG is max VG you are asking the calc to do this for you.

As a marketing tool max VG can be what you want it to be. It’s an arbitrary amount.

Max power!!!

i belive when a company claims its max VG they are typically making the same claim as we would if we were to , this isnt the same as putting “PREMIUM” on a bottle .

Oh I know. Big difference. Saw it recently though.

??? im not sure what you are referring to , and dont get me wrong as @louiesquared said im sure it happens but am not sure its a standard i. the industry that Max VG means 70/30

There is no central body that could determine what “max VG” should/could/would mean. Overthinking it. It’s not a fixed figure in the industry of this I would be very sure. That would require consensus and I don’t think they bother. Some will genuinely use it others will not. It’s up to the consumer to ask what the ratio is? Then you have something to be sure of.

Of course there is a consensus of what max vg means , come on , dont be silly id be willing to bet anyone who knows anything about mixing or vape juive period would define max vg as just what it is MAX VG , let me ask you something What is max vg to you ???

The “Max VG” juices sold here are all 80/20.

So all the juice manufacturers that have a sticker on there juice “max VG” have there VG maxed out. That’s what I’m saying. We can all agree. But it doesn’t stop anyone putting that sticker on their bottle at any ratio. That’s the only point I’m making.

I’ve said all along we know what max VG is. But it cannot be measured by a consumer. Hence why diy is great, we can. As long as we know our bases.

We don’t disagree, I’m just saying some unscrupulous juice manufacturers don’t care. And will use it without consequence.

this is the comment im originally speaking of in which case @anon60225325 you have proved my point , the fact that this statement is hard to prove and was wondering where the assumption or opinion came from

then say that dont say everything besides that , yiur right im suresome put it on there so people dont know what the ratio is but for the most part im sure universally max vg is what it is Max Vg and it sonds a lot better then putting 67vg 23pg or 83/17

And then you have this, which sorts under max vg, but is a 70/30 - and you get drpper juices in 90/10

Yep you are right you declare max VG to be 70/30. Settled.

This should be the first thing you do to try and find out what is causing this issue.

If your straight VG is not causing this try vaping on a little of the PG you have next with no nicotine or VG. Next combine your VG and PG only, next add in your desired amount of nic,PG,VG

I had a very similar feeling when I first started making my own juice. I vaped for 3 months using store bought and then started DIY. It wasn’t until I started DIY that this feeling really started. I found that my nic and PG both contributed to this feeling. I started adding a little distilled water to my mixes at 1-3% and that did help some. About 3 months or so into DIY the feeling went away so not really sure what really caused it or if it was just a matter of getting used to the DIY juice with fewer additives like saline solution and sweeteners.

I hope you figure it out. I still think it is important to try everything separate first and then move on from there.
