Battery life is the weak spot of vaping …
If anyone sees a great deal on a IPV4s
I’d like details.
I can’t tell if temperature control is easier on battery life or if I enjoy vaping in TC mode much more and kill battery life.
I use this IPV LI & enjoy vaping enough to back away from smoking,so I’d like 1 more T.C. mod so I can fire nickel or titanium all the time.
From all you guys titanium is the wire of choice,if it would arrive in the mail ,I’d know.
It appears to me that my eleaf in TC mode is running at 40 watts all the time, no matter the temperature it is set. 2600 mah battery is lasting only 8-10 hours depending on how I vape at the time. That’s not gonna work if I want to vape in temp mode all the time. I am hopeing that a Ti coil may allow me to get the ohms up a bit higher and see if that makes a difference. I’m doubting it will cause as I said, it appears to be pushing 40 watts all the time…
Yes, it is, but, more so for flavor and the ability to build coils at a higher ohmage. I’m doubting any effect on battery life. Sure would like to be proven wrong though !!!
I corrected the mix up with IPV4s the new upgrade out of box version. 69.00 best deal I can find US wise.
I’m wanting to get a second T.C. big battery mid to serve as ‘backup’ ,I’ve bought 4 extra 18650’s for the mod & now just need to make a decision mod wise.
T.C. I like alott & see myself using all the time,it’s what assures me I can finish up these last few cigarette & be done.
oh like you need a reason??? haha
code -10off
got me an Authentic Velocity, Geyscano 50w and SBODY 50w squonk mods.
on the way is the Uwell Crown tank with rba deck.
I got me a IPV3 Li, two of the Goliath v2 and some different gauge TI wire one the way.
And some flavors. This week has been EPIC!!!
I got 3 bottles from FA today that had no leaky issue! 1 bottle of Vienna Cream which had an orange cap in the same style as the blue and 2 bottles of Glory with blue caps. They must have done something to it because this is the first order I got from Fa that didn’t leak.
The bottles are a little more flexible than before too. I was very hard to squeeze drops out of them before, not so now.
Woohoo! Yeah those bottles I got are really tough to squeeze. I’m thinking I’m gonna put them in other bottles cuz they’re kind of a pain.
The new FA blue top bottles? Oh yeah, I’ll be doing the same…hurts my fingers, actually.
I just got my second Crown and RBA with a free bottle of juice. I’ll save it for my IPV3 Li. That’ll be a nice pair.
Well, down the “rabbit hole” with IDE Vapors! Hope they’re good 'cause their inexpensive and a day away from Raleigh NC! Fingers crossed!
Off to the lab! (Insert mad scientist laugh here) I-gor! Fetch my coat!
i like the fruity pebbles from IDE… pretty spot on taste
Maybe I should post this else where but I know you people on the Vape Mail Train know you Vape gear so…
Well…just had my baby catch on fire while in my hand tonight. I swear the love of my Vape life gone, up in smoke. Purchased my IPV4 during the preorder back on 2/14/15 and got one of the first units to hit the U.S. Never had any problems and literally used the Mod every day, all day and nothing else. Running Atlantis V2 tanks .03 coils mostly at 65-75 watts. Never a problem till tonight.
Here what happen…
Changed batteries out
Clicked fire button five times
Unit turned on
Chatting with wife
Fire button getting warm
Chatting away (still haven’t vaped on charged batteries)
Fire button and box getting warm, began to notice heat, touch tank hot.
Pull off plastic cover and see glowing orange area at top of battery closest to the fire button.
PANIC SETS IN!!!
Pulled the black fabric (ribbon) to quickly remove batteries.
Once removed throw everything on the floor and reality sets in…the smell of electrical wire fills the room smoke coming from the mod. Wife is looking at me like I’ve lost my mind.
With this situation I’m in…I’m in need of another IPV4. Where should I get it? Which one should I get? Or should I go for the IPV-Li 2, I don’t use nickel or platinum or titanium wire. Don’t plan on using this purchase for dripping only tanks.
MOST IMPORTANT
I NEED IT NOW!
Had to pull out the old istick 50w
There was an issue with the original IPV4 and it had to do the onboard charging system. Something about it not being well insulated and making contact with metal causing a closed circuit and continuous firing. That sounds like what happened to you. They fixed it in the IPV4s. There is a procedure to fix this. There should be a recall but there isn’t. We are all taking the risk of this happening to us.

What % did you use for your mix and how much steep?
Thanks for the Link never knew about the issue. Guess I have today to figure out which box I want.
@Pro_Vapes Do you have the ipv4s? If so would you buy again? For the price hard not to.
I have the IPV4.
You should contact PY4U and see if they will replace it. You may get a free 4s.
