What are you watching? (2020/2021)

Yeah, I’d bet she can make Chuck Norris cry.

Well, missed a few - Damn you near myriad of December festivals and entailed excess.

So, for my penultimate night before Christmas, I will go for the classic tale of a rejected orphan who attempts to redeem himself and rise to social acceptability in spite of vague supernatural menace.

Obviously, it’s Batman Returns.

Sadly Catwoman didn’t rely on the Colin Mochrie ‘meow’.

I just finished episode 6 and am enjoying it. I’m usually not a fan of re-boots, but think this one is done pretty well. Keep watching and it may get interesting !!

Well, 'Tis the night night before Christmas, so I think something to truly reflect upon the season is needed.

I finally watched Matrix Resurrections and I can say that it is disappointing.

I don’t want to spoil it for others, so I will class it as Lana reading Greek philosophy and building all ideas around it. Sadly, the movie lacks all internal logic within its own mythos and timeline while also falling short on a coherent theme. Oh, and all that fans feared from the trailers is true.

I think it could be equated to the Architect in Matrix Reloaded and his one mix-up with the One/the Integral Anomaly: It looks intelligent but falls on its arse for lacking internal logic.

I noticed the movie about Queen is on Hulu so I watched that today.

I like to watch sitcoms before bed. I’ve never watched Scrubs before so I’m going through that. I’m currently at the end of season 2.

Probably the best satire on American culture I’ve seen yet. Wag the Dog was a walk in the park by comparison. Note: I just read a review that calls this an allegory on climate change. I think the writer completely misses the point. Besides, it’s about meteoric impact which has nothing to do with human cause.

@muth we JUST watched that last night, and the whole time, I couldn’t figure out of I LIKED it, or HATED it !!!

Def. satire, dark comedy perhaps. It’s def. worth watching, to see which camp you fall in.
