I try to grow a few varieties every year, including Jalapenos, Chiles, Scotch Bonnets, and Habeneros.
Sometimes, my fresh Mint plants outnumber the peppers though LOL.
I’ve been hit or miss making hot sauces. Some turn out great, others, ehhh.

It’s like anything For one success they are a lots of fail!
I mean, it’s great when you get a hit, but it also takes a lot of time to dial in a good recipe too. I’m now abusing Shock and Awe on a Cheesesteak !!!
I don’t regret any cents I spend on this sauce!!
The two shakes are fantastic. Danger Close? A tad too vinegar forward for me, but I guess that’s to be expected of most domestic sauces. My mom used to take a Caribbean cruise most every year and all I asked for was a bottle of habanero hot sauce from each port. They do it right down there and it ain’t even close ![]()
@robrrt1 I don’t know why, but I’m starting to enjoy Shock and Awe on ribeyes for some reason. A fresh bottle of sauce from every port ?? You can’t beat that.
Ruined me for life ![]()
I had to try a little thought experiment. Yep, just as I thought… for some queries, AI has to consult with the Meta overlords to ask permission to tell the truth.
ooooh…Guitars! my passion for over 55 yrs. telecaster shaped objects are my fav for the past 15 yrs.
Yeah that’s been a passion of mine for about that long too. I prefer strats but also have a couple of teles… just because ![]()
when i early retired in 2015 i sold off 8 collectors items and kept just a single partscaster and let the rest go. made money on all but one.
what i kept is a conglomeration of parts from 80’s that a fellow on E-Bay said he would never finish. body is swamp ash with a one piece veneer on the front and back in shell pink. very early Lindy Fralin PUP’s reading 9K each. Joe Barden bridge , mint green pickguard, Warmoth compound radius neck with SS frets and Gotoh tuners. i have $400 in it and 10 yrs tweaking things to my liking. i am happy with it.
i’m not even getting into amps … that is a whole other story i won’t brag about ,( some people have grandkids but i have music equipment).
thanks for the reply.
I’m down to a strat, a partscaster strat and 2 teles now. I was a gear junkie for years until I decided enough was enough. I’d buy things, use a few times, stick it in the corner and forget about it. As for amps I’m down to a twin reverb and blues jr. Old age tends to mellow the desire to have the latest and greatest ![]()
