I try to grow a few varieties every year, including Jalapenos, Chiles, Scotch Bonnets, and Habeneros.
Sometimes, my fresh Mint plants outnumber the peppers though LOL.
I’ve been hit or miss making hot sauces. Some turn out great, others, ehhh.

It’s like anything For one success they are a lots of fail!
I mean, it’s great when you get a hit, but it also takes a lot of time to dial in a good recipe too. I’m now abusing Shock and Awe on a Cheesesteak !!!
I don’t regret any cents I spend on this sauce!!
The two shakes are fantastic. Danger Close? A tad too vinegar forward for me, but I guess that’s to be expected of most domestic sauces. My mom used to take a Caribbean cruise most every year and all I asked for was a bottle of habanero hot sauce from each port. They do it right down there and it ain’t even close ![]()
@robrrt1 I don’t know why, but I’m starting to enjoy Shock and Awe on ribeyes for some reason. A fresh bottle of sauce from every port ?? You can’t beat that.
Ruined me for life ![]()
