No dear, just that you have a perfect **hole.

I got to have one sometime next year. I had one 5 years ago and they found some polyps they took out.
Whichever way you turn it, they are worse than a pain in the arse. You get a slight sedation nowadays. I had one of those check-ups without sedation decades ago.
It wouldn’t be so bad if your intestines were straight. They are not, and whenever that tube hits a corner… :scream:
I remember screaming at them to take that thing out. They were a lot less flexible those days too.
This nurse started telling me to just control my breathing. I told her, or screamed at her, that she could go and fuck herself, I was not giving birth here with only one way out but forward. OUT NOW!!

After discovering last Saturday that I had lost 500 grams of weight in a little over a day and only weight 42.9 kilos, I stopped weighing myself and tried stuffing myself instead. It’s so discouraging to step on that thing and there’s no result.
Same thing for people who want to lose weight.
Today I decided to take a gamble and have a look. 43.8
I have the protein shakes on top of that since yesterday, so it’ll be fine.
I won’t be fattened up enough to be slaughtered for Christmas, but somehow I think that’s a bonus.

Yep, they did. I decided there and then that I’d rather die of colon cancer than go through that again.
It’s not too bad when they put you to sleep. The tubes have improved too :+1: :relieved:

The first thing my dad said before mine was ‘son, don’t look at that long curled up hose on the wall with inch markings’ Gotta say, the prep is worse than the procedure. All this in the smile post

That stuff I had to drink before was disgusting. A whole litre of the stuff.
I learned from my niece that there’s some other stuff you only have to take 150ml of.
Just drink lots of water. You’ll have to ask for it though, they won’t just offer it to you.
I will ask.

I’ve got the opposite problem. Doesn’t help when you try to put some weight on. :smirk:
Anyway, I’m still smiling folks
Occasionally I’m , like when I’m sure the electrical component of my semi acoustic bass isn’t working, only to discover that I overlooked the wrapping on the 9 volt battery.

Leaves me in the dust. That’s amazing, and not “amazing” used as the catch all buzz word. I guess I’m using stone age equipment. I’m at 1G wired and 1G internet with 1G NAS. Wifi of laptops, cellphones, Ipads, and streaming devices are much less than 1G. It’s an incredible device but I would have to spend a small fortune in other equipment and ip subscription to take advantage of it. Just this last week I cut my cable and am saving $100/mo by streaming. My cable bill was more than my energy bill. All connection speeds are sufficient for their intended use. Working on audio and video editing I have to use internal connected SSD speeds coupled with 4090 series GPU and 8 core CPU to maintain constant streaming.

I guess if I had a herd of people constantly on the net or all kinds of “smart” devices in the house the bandwidth could be utilized, maybe.

Well if you’re rolling with Gig hard lined, and with a Gig NAS, I don’t think you’re wanting at all Walt.

When the good lady tore me a new one for having used up all the available space in a fridge that is basically only used at Christmas. It was a fridge my son bought until he won a Jack Daniels one in a pub competition.
It therefore got relegated to a spare fridge which I found extremely convenient for juice and other such articles.
Made me smile but put me in the doghouse too.

I have to ask how much food do you need at Christmas?

Only enough for a couple of tacos

That’s kinda what I figure. The redundancy writing on the NAS is slower than the wired lan so there is no bottleneck with the 1G transfer speeds. Everything zips right along as far as I am concerned.

RAID 1 @SmilingOgre ?? If so, wouldn’t it be nice to throw caution to the wind, and run RAID 0 ?
