It’s your money, and yours to do with as you like. I have 2 Xcubes and they both work great for me. Others have had problems but mine get used more than anything other than my Reuleaux DNA200. Enjoy it! I think you will.
Still has been best “bang for your buck” mod and although there are some pet peeves I have with it, It is one of my favorites. Cuboid is about the same but a bit more accurate IMO and less heavy but you put 3 really nice batteries in this it will last!
I see a lot of friends are having issues with the rx200 and the dna200 by wismec. Even not being able to use the tfv4 attys on them.
I believe all mods are like cars. You get good ones and bad ones. I my self use both all day everyday with the tfv4s on them. And don’t have one Bit of trouble out of them. Maybe I’m just one of the lucky ones. I’m now looking at a efution dna200 next.
Great. Like to see a pic when you get all your goodies in. Love a bit of vape mail.
whos this aimed at ?? do you want to see a picture of the xcube ??
Uncle topher
Well I own one and it works perfectly fine for me, yes even temperature mode, including stainless steel. BTW - If you don’t know, there is a new firmware 1.094, get it. It reduces the lag from pushing the fire bar, it fires almost instantly after the update.
There are a few dislikes I have for the mod…
-
Screen is too dim, un-readable outside in sun light.
-
When first purchased, and after EVERY firmware upgrade, You have to run the app on your phone to activate Stainless Steel, and Titanium in temperature mode.
Other than that, I really like it, it works for me without issue. Technically this is my second Xcube II, the first only worked for about 5 seconds and then failed. I have to RMA it.
Thanks for the comment,
I have not yet tried it on NI200 Yet, as such… only mainly stick to the 0.50ohm coils.
going to try the 0.25ss coil.
As for the update, that was the first thing i did when i had a little play first lol…
in relation to the screen brightness could be a little better in the sunlight i personally think.
i think in the next update, i think SMOK should be able to change the colour of the screen, so it stands out more in the bright lights,
My screen is a little out of place, its a tad more up than normal.
battery life is better than the Pegasus thats for sure, changed the batteries before i went out this morning… and they just under halve the capacity
I have seen a nice Wrap i want to get for it, Oh why, oh why some of you may say,… BECAUSE I CAN… LOL the wrap is of the terminator head… but on the description they have it down as Iron Man LOL… bit of a difference
Now i have the decision of either keeping the pegasus as a spare TC Mod or Selling it… Hmmm…
Rabbit I have the Efusion, was my first DNA. Love it, but bet you would prefer a VT133 which are also a touch cheaper. Can compare them side-by-side if you’d like.
I can get the efution for $149 right now. The vt133 from what I’ve seen, the battery cover comes off to easy. Idk. It won’t be for a while. I appreciate the heads up though
For reference, both my Reuleauxs covers come off easier than the VT by enough to notice. The VT cover is very clicky. I love my Efusion, don’t get me wrong, but I wouldn’t buy a second until it was lost or something. I’ll definitely buy another VT. The VT fits the curve of the hand better, but the buttons stick out more and aren’t as pretty.
Ok, the VT isn’t as pretty period, but as I’ve said elsewhere I get as many tanks out of it as I do a Reuleaux. Maybe it’s my Deepwater 0.08ohm builds, I dunno, but it’s true. I drip on the Efusion, cause it wont hardly make my commute one way. Nice mod to sit at home with anyway. I don’t care if I beat my others, but the Efusion is the pretty girl. Put a silver Bellus on top of a black one and you can vape in a tux. . .like I’d need to, but. . . Hell man, these a first-world problems. You’re going to like either. If you want to try a VT and don’t like it I’ll buy yours, NP.
Absolutely, Pattie! I just need to get it all organized…it’s a bit of a mess at the moment. I ended up getting a BUNCH of stuff I see now I will hardly ever use, and misjudged a few things…like my electric mixer stem doesn’t fit down the neck of any of the beakers I got so…I botched that one. I need to get one or two 50-100mL wide open beakers. Thought I had ordered them. shrug. I know I bought too much hardware for sure but that’s OK…the Volumetric Flasks with their little glass stoppers look pretty darned cool
I will work on getting a nice display pic posted up. It’s all very exciting!! I also did a complete flip flop on my new device. I went ahead and got an Eleaf Istick 100w, instead of the RX200 or DNA200, and so far I am totally happy with my choice. I have x2 Eleaf iJust 2’s and they have been wonderful to me, so…went with a brand I knew.
As far as a tank, I got the Arctic Bottom Turbine Dual Coil which was a big mistake on my part. It works just fine, and it’ll be a breeze to disassemble and clean… but the damned thing isn’t a top fill which was basically my ONE BIG requirement…lol. No idea how I overlooked THAT. It’s tank size is way too small for me as well, I am constantly refilling it. I am thinking it is 3mL which is a step down from my iJust 2’s. Not a big deal, I got a great price, but I am thinking now I am going to go back to the SMOK Tfv4…I think it is 4.5mL and TOP FILL…or maybe even the mini version with it’s kit I think you can bump it up to a 5mL tank…just some issues finding coils for it.
I am wide open to suggestions if anyone has a big boy top fill tank they love…I’ll appreciate any input.
All in good fun though…I got amazing prices (like 1/3 the price of my local vape shops in some cases…the iStick was only 27 bucks!! I checked the numbers and it’s legit.(shout out to Vape NW on that one).
Anyway, tried out like 5 different vendors between my tank, box, mixing supplies etc so I have a feel for several sources for goodies, so I call it a success overall. ALL vendors delivered the correct items, on time, well packaged (had lots of glass) and had great prices.
I used:
101Vape (tank)
VapeMoar: specific juices. (they are a VERY VERY inexpensive juice place [$20/120mL]…just have to let the stuff age for a week or so before vaping)…and I only like 2 of their flavors, but when combined they are AMAZING. I got what I think the ingredients are so…shouldn’t be needing them much anymore.
WizardLabs: Flavors, PG, VG and Nic as well as mixing supplies.
Vape NW: Box
Vape Mall: One specific mixing item.
Sounds like someone’s going to have some fun.
I’ve got the eleaf istick 100w tc and that’s been working fine, use it daily.
However i can recomend the OBS CRIVS. Exelent top fill tank, but get v3 as it has the velocity deck in it, easy to build and a very flavourful tank. I’ve got mine with a ss build in at 0.16 ohm and she’s chuckin.
whoa…you got over my head with some of your lingo…lol. I swear I learn about 5 new expressions on this site every time I come in here…lol.
Are you using the OBS CRIVS as a regular tank or are you drippin’?? What’s a velocity deck? If you are dripping does this tank come with the dual ability to just be a tank with factory coils as well as DIY coils and drippin juice?
I am still at the phase of using tanks and pre-made coils. Making my own juice was priority to me for cost & quality assurance sake, then I am going to go full steam into making my own coils and messing around with dripping.
Thanks for the tip!
Hey also: I have the Eleaf 100w VV/VW. I didn’t realize I didn’t get the TC until it was too late and I didn’t feel like sending it back…I love what i got. Do you feel like the TC is necessary for fine tuning or is it just another button to play with? And I can’t find OBS CRIVS anywhere. Is that short for something?
Ah! Right. The OBS Crivs is a dual post rebuildable deck tank. So you build your own coils and wick wilh cotton and that deck fits into the bottom of the tank section. It does not take premade coils though so may not be of use to you. This is not a dripper either.
The tfv4 gives you the option of both, as does the mutank by indulgence.
I use the istick 100w tc in all modes. And utilise the three tcr menus. I mostly vape in tc anyway, except for high wattage dripping.
The OBS Crivs is the name of the tank it should show up on YouTube.
Cool, thanks! I look forward to getting into building my own coils and exploring the ‘hardware’ side of things, but I wanna get my arms around making juices first. I am going to definitely look most closely at these dual purpose tanks moving forward though. I watched a 15 min review on the Tfv4 ‘kit’ (comes with both set ups for tank and drop) and it holds 5mL in the tank. All for around $35, seems like a winner to me. Thanks again for the input!
here we go…the stash…got some more goodies in their way in today. I also have some rough attempts I am trying to doctor up to at least being vap-able. CLOVE is some HARSH stuff if not used very sparingly and creamy & buttery stuff (even butter rum) gets really dull. I need to add some spark to those ones…
I am wondering if I have some terms confused: I thought “dripping” was where you use rebuild-able coils and drip a few drops on it every so often…feels like I have something backwards. RDA stands for rebuild-able deck-something, right?
A RDA is a rebuildable dripping/ deck atomiser. This is what we call a dripper, ie, you drip liquid directly onto the coils.
Rdta. Rebuildable drip tank atomiser, acts like a dripper but has the benifit of a tank to hold your liquid. But generally dose not take factory made coils.
Then you have something like your tfv4, which gives you the option of both factory made coils or your rebuildable deck to use.
Don’t worry the lingo is somewhat bemusing but you pick it up eventually.
Nice stash.
