Wismec Reuleaux RX200 Horror Reports

awesome, thanks! that clarifies that. If I am planning on using rebuildable decks in the future, the tfv4 is just seeming right for me for a bunch of reasons now. If I am not mistaken, the one I was looking at in 101 vape or Vape NW (can’t remember which) the Tfv4 came as just a tank or there was a ‘kit’ which was the tank and then some replacement gaskets, the drip pad for teh top where you fill it and the all important deck. It is like $6-7 more but that seems like a no brainer at this point.

I looked up the CBS you were talking about and I just am falling in love with the Tfv4…looking at the CBS felt like cheating:smiling_imp:

As far as necessary hardware for doing the rebuilding thing…how much initial investment on tools etc am I looking at? Juice flavors and DIY liquid hardware (beakers etc) turned out to be a LOT more than I expected (though I easily bough 30-40 bucks worth of stuff i see now I did not really need.

Trying to keep the cost down at this point so…looking at essentials only. I know you can’t pull an exact figure out of your arse but…ballpark?

Thanks for all the help btw, and that stash DOES look sexy!! Looks like someone knows what they’re doing…LMFAO.

The tfv4 KIT seems to be the one for you by all accounts. I have 2 of those myself andi find I’m only using the rebuildable decks in both, but that being said i love to build my own coils.
For building, i use the coilmaster jig v2 as it has longer mandrel’s (eaiser to fit your coils) you can pick them up from eBay for about £10. Definitely recommend that one.
And wire, i get from here http://www.wireandstuff.co.uk/index.html
It’s as cheap as chips/fries :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
There is a us version of that website but can’t find a link for you.

I like chips and fries!! You have 2 of them? I am already seeing a trend in this hobby…I am going to end up with 57 of everything, aren’t I? I already feel a ‘hoarder’ vibe coming over me when I look at my stash…

Hey Pattie, I was just reading some reviews of the tfv4 on amazon and there were a couple people who said the top swivel on this tank doesn’t seal well (where you fill it) and the tank leaks really badly. After getting shafted badly with the Aspire Triton 1 (leaks horribly…bad customer service with Aspire…no returns even though it is a design flaw) I have a bit of a peeve about leaky tanks. Ever have any issues with this?

The tfv4 can be a bit of a learning curve to wick right when you use the rebuildable part (the rba or it’s part name tf-r1) but when you get the wicking down it’s one of the better tanks out there.(For 2015,times move on but that’s another post.)
The pre made coils just screw in but just take care when doing so, and make sure the o ring is on the bottom of the coil before you screw it in. People have had problems with leaking and that was the cause.
To be quite honest, i have had zero problems with my tfv4’s. I find them a good hardcore tank. No swivel problems either, just make sure your top seal is in place.
With mass production, you will inevitability get the odd defect. But mine have and still do work fine.

In relation to the TFV4’s I have the mini version, also have the rba, for it, i have tried a number of times to get that thing wicked right … with no joy. not sure what i am doing wrong
watch loads of youtube clips, but some of them wick it differant to the other… tried each method all i seem to get it, is either burnt hit, or leaking or both … arrrrggghhhh…
can anybody shed some light on this… i have not tried any prebuild coils yet as i dont have any for it.

i am yet to try my own build… as i have only used the rebuilt clapton that came with it… and its shit… excuse the punt…

Mine would not read Ti on any device. And after repeated attempts to contact Wismec and Joytech with no response whatsoever I took mine back. Will I buy another? Doubtful. I may do a DNA200 version down the road. But my iPV devices do just fine at reading Ti, and the support I have gotten for my other devices has me pretty much saying screw Wismec and Joytech.

You asked for it!.. Ya better put ur fingers in ur ears tho…the language is a little…“blue”.

I realize @UncleTopher this is not the tank ur looking for …yet, …but I thought u might be interested in the tank …& a bit of a giggle (maybe!).
In case ud rather not assault ur ears by watching this, the tank is a VCMT RTA (rebuildable tank atomizer) by Vaperz Cloud. Find another review on YT… looks like an awesome tank!

Looks like a very nice tank.

It’s basically just trial and error with the cotton but I’ve found its a fine line between to much and not enough.
Sitting the bottom of your cut on the cotton on the ledge where the shroud screws down, not blocking the channel but not letting it flod either.
Hope this shines some light on it for you.

I can say I use 2 tfv4s on a daily bases. The only time it ever leaked is I didn’t have it wicked right. As far as leaking on the top. Never have I had it leak. If you use a dropper it can make a little mess when you close it. But that’s all.

LOL…I had to go back and listen to it a few times…and…he does, indeed, open up with, “G’day fu%*in’ Dickheads…”. The accent is thick and I wasn’t sure what the hell he was saying…lol. Don’t worry, I’m a big boy…I can handle a little Aussie Swearing. Maybe he outta consider decaf though…

10-11 mL capacity!! <<HEAD EXPLODES>> that is just awesome!! Thanks for the info .

@Pattie: Thanks again! That is a problem with these devices and the juices as well concerning reviews and objectivity… Just so many variables concerned and then people review things, You have different people with different tastes. Then in some cases, mfg companies are not doing a great job with their QC and every few devices is wonky. Also the IQ factor for some people…they shouldn’t be allowed to use the stove in their house much less deal with tanks and coils and resistances etc. That’s imho anyway.

Thanks guys (and lady):grinning:

I have this issue with both of my Rx200s, not with my DNA200 though. I rotate my batteries and everything but it will show zero battery life and then when I put them on my charger, 1 is dead and the other 2 are at 75%.

It is happening more often than it did when I bought them.

Very frustrating

Yup. I get something similarly strange on mine that I talked about earlier in the thread. Anybody that says the RX200 is the same thing as the DNA200 is full of it. It’s a good mod for what it is, but it is not the same thing.

Yep! My DNA works like a charm and so do the RXs, outside of the battery issue. Some days it drains just 1 battery and leaves the other 2 full!?!

The issue started with just one of them but now, both are f’d

my buddy down at the vape shop said that is THE issue with the RX200’s. He also stated what Big Benny was saying (almost word for word)about comparing/contrasting RX200 with DNA. The conversation stemmed from me asking why the DNA was like 90$ more expensive. The weird battery thing is just about the only complaint people have…

The only reason I passed on it was I want to wait and see if that 3rd battery is messing up the way to the two batteries work with each other in series. It roughly makes sense in my head but I cannot articulate it yet. By the time I am ready to UG again I’ll be looking at teh DNA for sure.

@5prock : I don’t know what that reviewers situation was. If I had to speculate though:I think he was really, really, really high on something speedy. I also think he wasn’t very bright, though he was trying to appear so and it came out as ignorant arrogance. I also don’t think he was very funny, though again…he was desperately trying.

That’s strange. I’ve never had one battery lower then the other on my rx200. It has worked great from day one. And better after all the updates. It never tried to charge my battery’s in the mod either. But I did you my dna200 all the time :scream:

I LOVE the magnets and door on my RX and I have even dropped it a few times and bent it right back tight again(if it got a bit wiggly)…And the TFV4 was tough to get the hang of wicking but like you said a good tank and I have fun building on it because of the room to work in there…
I just wanted to share a wicking technique I use on mine(not sure who has/had problems, I know u dont Pattie! ) where I use wick heavy but then cut it at a vertical angle just trimming it so it is flush with the threads when I screw down the cap. There is two lips near the base of the RBA where the cap meets the bottom of it, when they screw together one meets flush to the cap and the other is above that(both horizontal). I always make sure my wick fades out and stops at/before the second lip so its not sticking out too much and make sure it at least passes over the first lip or it will most likely flood. Another thing I noticed is you don’t want to stuff the wick into that juice slot too tight or it will end up getting dry hits(thats where the trimming is key). I really hope this helps anybody having issues as it changed my love for the tank and RBA section when I realized it myself.
