I just have the 1 pc. for all 3 of us… Me, Myself, and I… lmao
I’ll look a little more into NAS. It doesn’t do hardware raid?
I’ve heard of SAS drives but I’ve never had the money to play with them. They never put sustained read\write speeds anymore. Just burst.

I think all NAS’s do RAID I have my 4 bay NAS configured in RAID5…

I was going to say. what you have is a mini server. that’s what’s on your UPS. How many pc’s do you have in the house? most people don’t do hard wire at home anymore.It’s all WiFi.

Uh, we have too many devices here Two stationary machines (one connected to a TV), a bunch of laptops and tablets, a couple of smart TVs, chromecasts etc. We’re 4 people and me being a tech geek, we have way too much of that stuff

My graphics card in the stationary is an RTX 2080 My colleague and I deemed it essential for work

well, if your a small businessman like me, you paid for it lol. I can’t work like that anymore. I don’t even drool over things like that anymore. I have to be happy with what I have. I only work at most 6 hours a week. That’s a heavy week. Well, that’s out of the house work. Keeping track of all this fun PPE we have to have now… .Grrrr…

but your card is an Nvidia so now I will drool. lmao.

I bet you could get a BUNCH of transcoding streams going with that You can get one (new) for around $2900 though - there is even one for about $700 here!

You should save up for this M6000 though - only $22735 Too bad it’s sold out

ABSOLUTELY @daath and all. ALWAYS protect your equipment. You GET what you PAY for, so don’t skimp. Clamping Voltage, Energy Absorption, and Response Times, are what you need to look at.

Awesome! I’m crunching them too I paused my CPU and only fold on my GPU - more points and the office heat is slightly more tolerable with GPU only

Even with an i9-9900, it’s almost irrelevant due to the Ti GPU. Too bad they didn’t offer another slider position for JUST GPU. My CPU helps, but it’s dwarfed by the GPU. Every fold counts right ?
