Yeah, more like that  The NAS just makes it easy for everyone on your local network to use the storage

I just have the 1 pc. for all 3 of usā€¦ Me, Myself, and Iā€¦ lmao
Iā€™ll look a little more into NAS. It doesnā€™t do hardware raid?
Iā€™ve heard of SAS drives but Iā€™ve never had the money to play with them. They never put sustained read\write speeds anymore. Just burst.

I think all NASā€™s do RAID  I have my 4 bay NAS configured in RAID5ā€¦

I was going to say. what you have is a mini server. thatā€™s whatā€™s on your UPS. How many pcā€™s do you have in the house? most people donā€™t do hard wire at home anymore.Itā€™s all WiFi.

Iā€™m afraid to ask what your vid card is lol

Uh, we have too many devices here :stuck_out_tongue: Two stationary machines (one connected to a TV), a bunch of laptops and tablets, a couple of smart TVs, chromecasts etc. Weā€™re 4 people and me being a tech geek, we have way too much of that stuff :stuck_out_tongue:

My graphics card in the stationary is an RTX 2080  My colleague and I deemed it essential for work

that video card cost more than my pc, vid card, raid card, hard drives, and 50" 1080p monitor!!! with probably an extra 300 left in my pocket to spend!!! DANG!!!

Iā€™m happy I didnā€™t have to pay for it

well, if your a small businessman like me, you paid for it lol. I canā€™t work like that anymore. I donā€™t even drool over things like that anymore. I have to be happy with what I have. I only work at most 6 hours a week. Thatā€™s a heavy week. Well, thatā€™s out of the house work. Keeping track of all this fun PPE we have to have nowā€¦ .Grrrrā€¦ :rage:

but your card is an Nvidia so now I will drool. lmao.

I bet you could get a BUNCH of transcoding streams going with that :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: You can get one (new) for around $2900 though - there is even one for about $700 here!

You should save up for this M6000 though - only $22735    Too bad itā€™s sold out :frowning:

ABSOLUTELY @daath and all. ALWAYS protect your equipment. You GET what you PAY for, so donā€™t skimp. Clamping Voltage, Energy Absorption, and Response Times, are what you need to look at.

My previous obligation has been fulfilled @daath (grudge match, rival gaming clan). 4352 CUDA Cores and 14.2 TFLOPS into the fray, and pulling freight.

Thatā€™s awesome! It almost looks like mine (though mine is not a Ti!)

Yeah, but didnā€™t you get your WORK to buy it ?? !!! I had to self source. :frowning: And thatā€™s why I only have one LOL.

@daath theyā€™re def. pushing the big heavy (hot hot hot) COVID-19 units my wayā€¦

Awesome! Iā€™m crunching them too  I paused my CPU and only fold on my GPU - more points and the office heat is slightly more tolerable with GPU only

Even with an i9-9900, itā€™s almost irrelevant due to the Ti GPU. Too bad they didnā€™t offer another slider position for JUST GPU. My CPU helps, but itā€™s dwarfed by the GPU. Every fold counts right ?
