I used to love Lemon Cake by INW but did they Reformulate it? @Silhouette said so, but she’s just a casual mixer so I’m not sure I should trust her opinion…
Any of you pros know?
I have heard that it was reformulated by a few different people and I also respect silhouettes word as she’s a damn good mixer and knows her stuff but they could still be wrong. I saw a list somewhere of all of the flavours that Inawera has reformulated (possibly Reddit) but for the life of me I can’t remember exactly where or I’d post it for you.

Due to the entrance into force the tobacco directive we were made to contact our suppliers regarding the receipts of the flavours, otherwise we could not sell our products. Most of our suppliers did not make an issue of it, but there is one, which was not inclined to give so confidential details. That is why we had, having no choice, to create a new version of the flavours.
Creating them we were driven by the rule of the most genuine reflection of a flavour. However, different suppliers of intermediates and connected with it quality, small changes, even those in ten percent parts, can cause small differences in recognition of a flavour.
All remarks, which you will transfer to us, are very important to us and we will take into account and will be transfered to our laboratory.
Always we were cared and still we care so that our Customers receive only products of the highest quality…

I wouldnt be surprised if others were changed since then . Companies are often changing supplies.
Yeah, I remember really liking this Flavour but read notes on it from Amber and thought “SHIT”… Another thing is I always thought this flavour tasted like a dry lemon poppy seed muffin, which I don’t think matched up to others’ notes
Mixed this up yesterday as my partner doesnt enjoy cap custard v1 as she use too. she says it tastes burnt and bad on the backend. I tried lowering the % of cap custard to no success. So i fugured id try new custards in it to see if it works better.

Which Silhouette are YOU talking about? When I first came here and she was active on the forum she was one of the first mixers I followed. She’s quite prolific.
I wanted to make something with Sesame Sweets (INW) and this mix looked interesting albeit strongly flavored. I really like his idea but for me I would lower the Soho and cut Sesame Sweets in half. That might be a good start. Btw, I’m vaping it in a KF and the flavor is overpowering, really too much for me.
This is weird. I’m picking up on an anise flavor in Open RY4 recipe above. @Shantia mentions in her notes that she can taste anise in Cream Cheese Icing (LA). I’ve never noticed that but I’m getting it in this recipe and thought it was coming from something else. Have any of you noticed anise from Cream Cheese Icing (LA)? Whatever the case, I decided to tweak the mix and try it again.
Maybe just simplifying it will help?
This one wasa little too bright off the mix, so i added 3 drops of flv Macaroon. An unusual use for a bakery, this is so freaking good after a couple days steep. The macaroon warmed it up just right.
Used to eat this hard candy as a child. Mom brought some home from work and I had to make this.
I love Werther’s hard candy and was searching for recipes a long time ago. None of them quite hit it. This looks yummy and more like it. How are you liking it so far? I’m missing 2 flavors, dang it. I have MF Caramel but not the Butterscotch. And I have 8 Toffees but not the SSA. Any suggestions for subs?
Oh let’s see…I decided to mix up another 100mls of @Rocky02852 MHVIC. This time I used Smooth Vanilla instead of Vanilla Bean. I like the brightness of it.
The candy is a sweet sweet butterscotch toffee. The recipe is a close copy but not exact. The caramel is used to tone down the butterscotch a little. Feel free to sub in your favored toffee of your choice. You might even make it better. I used the MF because I have it. Let it sit and steep a week. It got better the longer it sat. Hope you enjoy it.
