@Mew that’s what I was hoping for when I first posted this. Scrolling through ALL of what we have said, and done here. Perspective.

I only started vaping 4 days ago. I loved my ciggies and I’m already converted. I’ve gone from 30 cigs a day to 3 in just a few days!!! Just gotta work out all these flavours that are out there…too many!
Still true today “all these flavours that are out there…too many!” and I keep ordering more

After quite a bit of lurking, I jumped in on the much debated 0.001 vs 0.01 scale thread,
still using my 0.001 scale btw
I mix my flavor concentrates on a TL 50G X 0.001G scale from amazon. I calibrate it with 10 US nickels (equals 50G) as the calibration weight that came with it is a little off.
and my 2nd post, I did find my ADV and mix now mix my Coffee on a Freight scale
I’m new to mixing, if I could come up with an ADV I’d do it on a bathroom scale, but at this point only small batches 30 max.

It’s been a while since I’ve visited the Forum side. Stopped in to use the calculator, and thought I’d take a peek. This looked like a fun thread. Finally found my first post from Sept '15. Stay safe everyone. Good thread @SessionDrummer !
Greetings, and thanks for having me. First time poster, and recently turned 61. Was a pack+ a day smoker for 45 years. I haven’t had one in 6 weeks, since I started taking vaping more seriously. To be honest, it doesn’t even feel like I quit smoking. I can’t believe how easy it’s been, with vaping. I don’t even get a craving for a cig. Im using a MVP20 & Nautilus Mini combination, and loving it. It only took me a couple of weeks to realize I was going to blow my budget on eliquids. So I decided …

WOW !! Though I consider myself to be a newbie, I sure have posted a lot. Below is my first post:
"Hi. My name is Cary and I am getting ready to start to mix my own juice. Been vaping for 6 years and have been tobacco free all that time (after smoking for almost 50 years). I just got my first orders from Liquid Barn and River Supply and hope to get 5 or 6 tobacco and tobacco/menthol flavors going either later today or tomorrow. I was pleasantly surprised to find this sight and have lurked since first starting my research a couple of weeks ago. Seems like this is a fine forum with friendly folks and lots of good information. Being new, I won’t have much to contribute and hope to learn a bunch from all of you.
My hobbies include music (listening and playing, though have played no live gigs since March) and traditional wet shaving (with soap, brush and vintage double edge razors and current double edge blades). Am also an avid reader of junk fiction.
Thanks to everyone for making this forum a great place to be, to participate in and to learn.
Respects…Cary"

i am trying to educate myself on mixing (diy). i started some easy flavors. eh its ok. i want to get better and i guess that comes with time. my question is What or how do you test a flav. with water?
how does this work and what is the point? i assume so you dont waste pg or vg or nic.

My first post was 11 October 2016
Hi everyone, I’m new to vaping, only been off the stinkies for 4 months, and am now looking at the DIY element to take my journey to the next level.
I hope that in some small way I may be able to contribute to the forum, once I figure out what I’m doing.
I’m on the South Island of New Zealand, and it is very interesting to see what the rest of the world is up to.
Keep well.

It’s true, kinda funny… After I went back to smoking and then returned I actually really liked that juice after the fact but was worn out on cereals

@LiquidNicotineW , any chance of new discount codes this year? I’m a new customer and I’m getting ready to complete my first order. The shipping price changed yesterday!! I was expecting to pay around $5.00 for shipping. Today I went to update my shopping cart and discovered the shipping leapt up to almost $15.00!! Any possibility of getting a shipping code for new customers or something…?
This is the first post I can find of mine… Jan last year.

@Lostmarbles anniversary post reminded me of how long some of us have been here, and how different things were back the. What was YOUR first post on ELR ?
Big shout out to the entire ELR crew and members as this is one hell of a nice site for mixers starting out (me) and pro’s and everyone in between. Had been lurking for quite some time, finally signed up and donated as I could see the real value in both the community and the recipies.
Have been quietly amassing quite a large stockpile (160+) of flavors and starting to mix/steep/try some of the mixes here, to get a better understanding of how some flavors and percentages blend, and why. Have b…
